Authorizing the Exchange of a Reserve in Oakura Township, Taranaki Land District, for other Land.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of March, 1920.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the First Schedule was heretofore duly set apart for a gravel depot: And whereas it is expedient that the said land should be exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, which the Governor-General deems of equal value and more suitable for the purposes of the reserve :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section twelve of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF RESERVE AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 38 perches, more or less, being Section 101, Oakura Township, Block II, Wairau Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section 104 in the aforesaid township, 234 links; towards the east by Sections 102 and 103 in the aforesaid township, 256 links; towards the south by Wajrau Road, 252 links; and towards the west by McKellar Street, 163 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/217A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.


SECOND SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Section 102, Oakura Township. Bounded towards the north-west by Section 101 of the aforesaid township, 101 links; towards the north-east by Section 103 of the aforesaid township, 317 links; towards the south-east by the South Road, 219 links; and towards the south-west by the Wairau Road, 317 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/217c, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Authorizing Special Investment of £50,000 of the Public Trust Office Funds.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this fifth day of March, 1920.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Wellington Harbour Board (hereinafter called “the said Board”), constituted under the Wellington Harbour Board Act, 1879, and its amendments, applied to the Public Trustee for a loan of fifty thousand pounds :

And whereas the said Board, as security for the said loan, has agreed to issue debentures secured upon the money for the time being in the Harbour Fund of the said Board as defined by the Harbours Act, 1908 (such security being referred to herein as “the said security”):

And whereas the said security is not one authorized by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 :

And whereas by section ninety-one of the Public Revenues Act, 1910, it is enacted that it shall be lawful to invest any part of the balance of the Public Trust Office Account in any security which shall be declared by the Governor-General by Order in Council to be securities in which such balance may be invested :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General in and for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that it shall be lawful for the Public Trustee to invest out of the balance of the Public Trust Office Account the said sum of fifty thousand pounds.

Borough of Onehunga incorporated with the City of Auckland for the Purposes of the Education Act, 1914.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of March, 1920.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section two (c) of the Education Amendment Act, 1919, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the Borough of Onehunga shall, for the purposes of the Education Act, 1914, be deemed to be a borough adjoining the City of Auckland and to be incorporated there-with as one urban area.

Declaring Portion of Waimata to Waiapu Inland Road, in the Cook County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of March, 1920.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of the Waimata to Waiapu Inland Road situated in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Cook County, commencing at a point about 141 chains north of the boundary between S.G.R. 43 and Lot 1, S.G.R. 43A, Block XII, Wai-ngaromia Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction, adjoining or passing through part of the said Lot 1 of S.G.R. 43A for a distance of approximately 110 chains. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 48118, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is, among other things, provided by section one hundred and eighty-five of the Counties Act, 1908, that in any place where there is no Harbour Board the Governor-General, on the request of the Council of any county bordering on any estuary or arm of the sea, may, by Order in Council duly gazetted, declare that such Council shall, from a date to be fixed in such Order, exercise all the
