In the Taranaki Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 45573, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twentieth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

Constituting the Wairarapa Electric-power District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is provided by section three of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, that any area or areas of land may be constituted an electric-power district or outer area of such district under the said Act, and in the manner therein provided :
And whereas a petition, praying that the area described in the First Schedule hereto may be constituted an electric-power district under the said Act, and that the area described in the Second Schedule hereto may be constituted an outer area of such electric-power district, was presented to the Governor-General on the tenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty :
And whereas such petition was publicly notified in the Wairarapa Standard and Featherston Advocate, the Wairarapa Age, the Daily News, the Wairarapa Daily Times, and the Martinborough Star of the nineteenth December, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, respectively, being newspapers circulating in the proposed electric-power district :
And whereas after due inquiry the Governor-General is of opinion that the petition should be granted :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, do hereby proclaim the district with the boundaries as described in the First Schedule hereto to be an electric-power district, and I hereby assign to such district the name of the “Wairarapa Electric-power District”;
and I do further proclaim that the area described in the Second Schedule hereto shall be an outer area of such electric-power district.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
ALL that area situated in the Wellington Land District, and being portion of the Masterton, Wairarapa South, and Featherston Counties, and the Boroughs of Masterton, Carterton, Greytown, Featherston, and Town District of Martinborough, all as at present constituted, commencing at the north-western corner of Section 70, Block XI, Mikimiki Survey District, and bounded towards the west generally by the western boundaries of Sections 70, 41, and part 40, across a public road, and the western boundaries of part of the said Section 40, Block XI, and Section 37, Block XV, Mikimiki Survey District, to the south-western corner of the said Section 37; thence by the north-eastern boundary of Section 43, Block XV, to the north-western corner of that section; thence by the north-western boundary of part of the said Section 43, across a public road, and by the north-western boundary of part of the said Section 43 to the left bank of the Waingawa River; thence by the left bank of the said river to a point opposite the most northerly corner of Section 371, Block XIV, Mikimiki Survey District; thence across the Waingawa River and by the north-western boundary of part of the said Section 371, across a public road, and by the north-western boundary of part of the said Section 371 to its south-western corner; thence by the south-western boundary of the said Section 371 to the northern corner of Section 339; thence by the north-western boundary of the said Section 339 to its western corner; thence by the south-western boundary of part of the said Section 339, across a
