I, ALFRED BARRETT JAMESON, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, University of New Zealand, now residing in Pakuranga, Auckland, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 14th April, 1920, next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at Dunedin.

CASTLEPOINT COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and by virtue of a warrant dated the 3rd day of November, 1919, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General in terms of section 119 of the Public Works Act, 1908, the Castlepoint County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Castlepoint County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of defraying the Castlepoint County Council’s share of the costs of erecting the Waingawa and the Tauherenikau bridges, the said Castlepoint County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one one-hundred-and-eighth part of a penny (1/108d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Castlepoint County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be made payable yearly on the first day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

FEATHERSTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Featherston Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Featherston Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the completion of the sewerage system of the borough, and making advances to owners of property under section 27 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, the said Featherston Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1d. and ⅓d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable properties of the Borough of Featherston, comprising the whole of the Borough of Featherston; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Franklin County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of ten thousand pounds sterling (£10,000), authorized to be raised by the Franklin County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of construction of roads in the Awhitu Riding of Franklin County (including the payment of compensation for land required to be taken for any deviation or deviations found to be necessary on such roads, the purchase or hire of any horses, plant, and machinery required to carry out such work, and such other costs, charges, and expenses as the Franklin County Council may determine to have been actually incurred in connection with such work), the said sum of £10,000 to be allocated for construction of roads in the various districts throughout the riding as follows,—

(a.) Roads in late Awhitu Road District .. 4,420
(b.) Roads in Pollok Settlement Road District .. 1,190
(c.) Roads in No. 5 Subdivision of late Waipipi Road District .. .. .. 1,920
(d.) Roads in No. 4 Subdivision of late Waipipi Road District .. .. .. 2,470

the said Franklin County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine-sixteenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Awhitu Riding of Franklin County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MOA ROAD BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Moa Road Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments of principal, interest, and also other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Moa Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of grading and metalling Kohete Road within the Kohete No. 2 Special Rating Area, the said Moa Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and a half in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Kohete No. 2 Special Rating Area, comprising Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, Block VII, Section 29, Block II, and Sections 50 and 58, Block III, Huiroa Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PAPAKURA TOWN BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Papakura Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-eight thousand pounds (£28,000), authorized to be raised by the Papakura Town Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing a water-supply from the Hunua Stream for the Papakura Town District, including the purchase of all necessary land, easements, and other rights, the erection of dams and reservoirs, the laying of mains and pipes, and the provision of all other things necessary in connection with such water-supply, the said Papakura Town Board makes and levies a special rate of twopence halfpenny in the pound (2½d. in £1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Papakura Town District; and that such a special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 10th day of September and the 10th day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waitotara County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £6,000, authorized to be raised by the Waitotara County Council, for the formation, widening, and metalling roads, and erecting bridges, throughout the county, the said Waitotara County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/24 of a penny in the pound upon the capital value
