said Papakura Town Board hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one-sixth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable
value of all rateable property of the whole of the Papakura
Town District; and that such a special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable half-yearly on the 10th day of September and
the 10th day of March in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a
half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Papakura Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of four thousand five hundred pounds
(£4,500), authorized to be raised by the Papakura Town
Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for forming, grading,
and metalling a number of streets within the town district,
the said Papakura Town Board makes and levies a special
rate of one-third of a penny in the pound upon the rateable
value of all rateable property of the whole of the Papakura
Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be pay-
able half-yearly on the 10th day of September and the 10th
day of March in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.

UPPER HUTT TOWNSHIP LAND COMPANY (LIMITED).

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of the members
of the above company will be held at the office of
the undersigned, situated at the Evening Post Buildings,
No. 84 Willis Street, on Wednesday, the 24th day of March
instant, at 4 p.m., for the purpose of receiving the statement
of receipts and expenditure in connection with the winding-
up of the above company.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1908, and the Public
Works Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitomo County
Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-
mentioned Acts, to effect a certain public work—namely,
the establishment and construction of a quarry; and for the
purposes of such public work the land described in the
Schedule hereto is required to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so
required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the
County Clerk to the said Council situated in Taupiri Street,
Te Kuiti, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all
persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such land, who have any well-
grounded objections to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said land, must state their objections
in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the
first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the
Council Chambers.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece of land, containing three roods twenty-three
decimal one perches (0a. 3r. 23·1p.), being part of the
land called or known as Hauturu East No. 2 Section 2A
No. 1; and that piece of land containing twenty-eight de-
cimal six perches (28·6 perches), being part of the land called
or known as Section 4, Block XI, Orahiri Survey District.
