NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeited by the North Auckland Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

Land in the Otago Land District for Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers.

District Lands and Survey Office,

Dunedin, 16th March, 1920.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands are open for sale or lease under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the regulations thereunder; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, the 26th April, 1920.

The lands may be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or selected on lease for thirty-three years, with right of renewal for further successive terms of thirty-three years and a right to acquire the freehold.

Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, the 28th April, 1920, at 10 o'clock a.m.

The ballot will be held at the conclusion of the examination of applicants.

IMPROVEMENTS.

The improvements included in the capital values of the sections consist of boundary and subdivisional fences valued as follows : Section ls, £102 ; Section 2s, £120 ; Section 3s, £82 ; Section 4s, £91.

The improvements not included in the capital values, but which have to be paid for separately, are—

Section ls.—Dwellinghouse, motor-shed, harness-room, &c. ; valued at £485. Payable in cash or in fourteen years by twenty-eight half-yearly instalments of £24 9s. 10d. ; total half-yearly payment on lease, £123 18s. 10d.

Section 2s.—Cottage, coal-house, windmill, and shearing-shed ; valued at £420. Payable in cash or in fourteen years by twenty-eight half-yearly instalments of £21 4s. 2d. ; total half-yearly payment on lease, £116 11s. 3d.

Section 3s.—Open-front shed and chaff-house, valued at £130. Payable in cash or in five years by ten half-yearly instalments of £15 0s. 3d. ; total half-yearly payment on lease, £96 0s. 3d.

Section 4s.—Three-roomed cottage, and two circular tanks now at end of open shed on Section 2s ; valued at £80. Payable in cash or in five years by ten half-yearly instalments of £9 4s. 9d. ; total half-yearly payment on lease, £99 0s. 3d.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION.

Glenn Settlement is situated in Waitaki County, and adjoins the Township of Georgetown, about eighteen miles from Oamaru and within easy distance of the railway. The whole property is admirably suited for wheat-growing, and consists of undulating downs and easy spurs with one or two broken gullies. The height varies from 350 ft. to 800 ft. above sea-level, and the soil is good rich loam on a clay sub-soil, a sufficiency of water is provided from creeks and springs. The property is well provided with boundary and subdivisional fences. Access is provided by well-formed roads.

Small Grazing-run in Otago Land District open for Selection by Discharged Soldiers.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned small grazing-run is open for selection by discharged soldiers under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and amendments ; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 26th day of April, 1920.

Applicants must appear before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, the 28th day of April, 1920, at 10 o'clock a.m.

The ballot will be held at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, at the conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—NATIONAL ENDOWMENT.

Vincent County.—Tiger Hill, Wakefield, and Leaning Rock Survey Districts.

MOUTERE Run 590 : Area, 7,100 acres ; half-yearly rent, £40 15s.

Weighted with £249 11s. 6d., valuation for improvements consisting of fencing.
