ERRATUM.—In the second item in the Schedule to the Proclamation published in Gazette No. 21, pages 673 and 674, of 26th February, 1920, taking land for the purpose of a public pound in Block V, Paritutu Survey District, Borough of New Plymouth, for “N.R. 23, Fitzroy Township,” read “N.R. 23, Fitzroy District.”

Declaring a certain Area added to the County of Wanganui to be included in a Riding to be known as the Morikau Riding thereof.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the ninth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 145, of the eleventh day of December, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, the boundaries of the Counties of Wanganui and Waimarino were altered by the exclusion of a certain area from the County of Waimarino and the inclusion of such area in the County of Wanganui:

And whereas it is desirable that the area so added to the County of Wanganui should be included in a riding to be known as the Morikau Riding of that county:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section twenty-two of the Counties Act, 1908, do hereby declare that the area included as aforesaid in the County of Wanganui shall as on and from the second day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, be included in a riding to be known as the Morikau Riding of the said county, and that the boundaries of that riding shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

MORIKAU RIDING, WANGANUI COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing in the middle of the Wanganui River at a point opposite the north-western boundary of the Ohoutahi Block; thence to and along the western boundary of the said Ohoutahi Block, the western, northern, and north-eastern boundaries of the Otaranoho Block to the northern boundary of Section 11, Block XI, Rarete Survey District; thence north-easterly along that boundary to the middle of the Matauriki Stream; thence down that stream to the northern boundary of Section 17, Block XV, Rarete Survey District; thence along the northern boundary and the eastern boundary of Section 17 to the middle of the Mangoihe Stream; thence up the middle of that stream and the middle of the Matihope Stream to the south-eastern boundary of the Morikau No. 1 Block; thence south-westerly along that boundary and easterly along the southern boundary of the Mairehau No. 2 Block to the middle of the Mangaetoroa Stream; thence down the middle of that stream to the northern boundary of Section 3, Block VIII, Tauakira Survey District; thence westerly along that boundary and southerly along the western boundary of the said Section 3 and its production to the middle of the Matahiwi-Ohotu Road; thence north-easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 1, Block XII, Tauakira Survey District; thence to and along that boundary to the trig. station on Aratawa; thence along the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of the said Section 1, and the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 3 and 9, Block XI, Tauakira Survey District, to the middle of the Paparoa Stream; thence down the middle of that stream and up the middle of the Wanganui River to the point of commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this tenth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty.
