A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section two hundred and forty of the Native Land
Act, 1909, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the road-line de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the road-line proclaimed as a road:
1 acre 3 roods 16·5 perches.
Being portion of Section 9a of Hauturu West G No. 2
Section 2b 2 (D.P. 7460), situated in Block II, Kawhia
South Survey District. (S.O. 20418.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 46210,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured purple.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Block XII, Pirongia
Survey District, Waitomo County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is
required to be taken, under the Public Works Act,
1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of
a road in Block XII, Pirongia Survey District, Waitomo
County:

And whereas the Waitomo County Council has laid
before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by
a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by
the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908,
and the Counties Act, 1908, and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do
also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and
after the thirteenth day of March, one thousand nine hun-
dred and twenty.

Apportionment of Bay of Islands Hospital District and
Creation of Four New Districts.


LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this eleventh
day of February, 1920.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING
IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS under the Hospitals and Charitable Insti-
tutions Amendment Act, 1919, power is given to
the Governor-General, by Order in Council, to abolish the
Bay of Islands Hospital District as on and from a date to
be appointed in such Order, upon which date four new hos-
pital districts—viz., Bay of Islands, Mangonui, Whangaroa,
and Hokianga—shall be deemed to be constituted:

And whereas by the same Act power is given to the Go-
vernor-General, by Order in Council, to determine what
part of the property, contracts, debts, and liabilities of the
Bay of Islands Hospital and Charitable Aid Board as at the
appointed date shall become the property, contracts, debts,
and liabilities respectively of the several Boards of the new
hospital districts to be constituted as aforesaid:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by the said Act, doth hereby abolish
the Bay of Islands Hospital District as on and from the
thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty, and doth hereby further declare as follows:—

  1. On and after the said appointed date—namely, the
    thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and
    twenty—every institution situated within the boundaries
    of one of the new hospital districts aforesaid, together
    with all land, buildings, and other property forming part
    of that institution or exclusively used in connection there-
    with, shall, without conveyance or assignment, vest in
    and become the property of the new Hospital Board of such
    new district instead of in the Board of the district hereby
    abolished (hereinafter referred to as the old Board).

  2. All trust moneys and other property held by the old
    Board in trust for the purposes of any such institution ex-
    clusively, and all moneys owing to that Board in respect of
