And whereas it is expedient to alter the boundaries of such river district in manner hereinafter appearing:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in section three of the River Boards Amendment Act, 1913, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the First Schedule hereto, being now part of the Bruce County, shall on and from the date hereof be deemed to be added to and form part of the Matau River District; and, with the like power and authority, do proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the said Matau River District, with such addition as aforesaid, shall be those set forth in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA INCLUDED IN MATAU RIVER DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District being sections numbered 1, 2, and 3, Block II, North Tuakitoto Survey District.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
MATAU RIVER DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District bounded towards the north generally by the road forming the southern boundary of Section 1, Block III, North Tuakitoto Survey District, from the south-western corner of that section to and by the south-eastern side of a public road intersecting Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, to the south-western boundary of Section 1, Block VII; thence by the south-western boundary of Section 1 aforesaid, across a public road, and by the south-western boundaries of Section 1, Block VI, and Section 1, Block V, North Tuakitoto Survey District; thence by the road forming the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 3, 2, and 1, Block II, North Tuakitoto Survey District, to the north-eastern boundary of South Tuakitoto Survey District; thence by the said boundary of that survey district to the south-eastern corner of Section 1, Block II, South Tuakitoto Survey District; thence by the southern boundary of that section to a point in line with the middle of Eddystone Street; thence to and by the middle of Eddystone Street to the middle of Exmouth Street; thence towards the south generally by the middle of Exmouth Street to Kaitangata Creek, and by that creek to its confluence with the Clutha River, and by the left bank of the Clutha River to the road forming the south-western boundary of Section 4, Block XIV, North Molyneux Survey District, across that road to and by the south-western boundaries of Sections 4 and 3; thence by the eastern boundary of Section 3 aforesaid to the Southern Trunk Railway, and by that railway to its intersection with the south-eastern boundary of Section 6, Block XI; thence by the south-eastern boundary of Section 6 aforesaid to the South Tuakitoto Survey District, and by western boundary of the South Tuakitoto Survey District to the place of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this thirtieth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty.

Declaring Land purchased for a Public Work, and not required for such Public Work, to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is provided by section thirty of the Public Works Act, 1908, that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever, for any public work is not required for such public work the Governor-General may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions therein mentioned:
And whereas it is further provided by section five of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, that in the case of any land so taken, purchased, or acquired for a Government work and not required for that purpose the Governor-General may, on the recommendation of the Minister, and without complying with any other requirements of the aforesaid section thirty, by Proclamation declare such land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908, and thereupon the land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto was purchased for the purposes of a police-station:
And whereas such land is not now required for the purposes for which it was purchased, and it is desirable to declare such land to be Crown land:
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor-General to declare such land to be Crown land:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the above-in-part-recited Acts, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908, and that such land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land: 4·9 perches.
Being portion of R.S. 41, Lot 4, D.P. 4220, situated in the City of Christchurch (Canterbury R.D.).
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 47840, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red margin.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owners and mortgagees of the land described in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Raglan County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Onewhero Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.
