Notice of Intention to take Land in Block VI, Waihou Survey District, for the more Effective Carrying-out of the Drainage or other Works in the Hauraki Plains and for the Better Disposal of Land set apart under the Hauraki Plains Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Hauraki Plains Act, 1908, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the more effective carrying-out of the drainage or other works authorized by the latter Act, and for the better disposal of land set apart under the Hauraki Plains Act, 1908. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Kerepehi, and is there open for inspection and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Situated in Block VI, Waihou Survey District (S.O. 21140). In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 49779, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
As witness my hand at Wellington this 21st day of December, 1920.

THE following certificate and declaration are published in conformity with the provisions of the Crimes Act, 1908.

CERTIFICATE.
I, DONALD NORMAN WATSON MURRAY, the Medical Officer in attendance at the execution of Samuel John Thorne, at the Prison of Mount Eden, Auckland, do hereby certify and declare that I have this day witnessed the execution of the said Samuel John Thorne at the said prison; and I do hereby further certify and declare that the said Samuel John Thorne was, in pursuance of the sentence of the Supreme Court, hanged by the neck until his body was dead.
Given under my hand this 20th day of December, 1920, at the Prison of Mount Eden.

DECLARATION.
We do hereby testify and declare that we have this day been present when the extreme penalty of the law was carried into execution on the body of Samuel John Thorne, convicted at the criminal sittings of the Supreme Court held at Auckland on the 8th day of November last, and sentenced to death, and that the said Samuel John Thorne was, in pursuance of the said sentence, hanged by the neck until his body was dead.
Dated this 20th day of December, 1920, at the Prison of Mount Eden, Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given that the education reserves described in the First Schedule hereto will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, at 11.30 o’clock a.m., on Thursday, 17th February, 1921, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1908, and amendments, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.
The education reserves described in the Second Schedule hereto will be offered for lease by public auction at the Borough Council Chambers, Hawera, at 11 o’clock a.m., on Wednesday, 16th February, 1921, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1908, and amendments, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.
