WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—HAMILTON’S SPECIAL RATING AREA.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Whangarei County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Whangarei County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing and metalling what is known as Hamilton’s Road, situated in the Otakairangi Parish, Wairua Riding, the said Whangarei County Council makes and levies a special rate of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the special rating area in the Wairua Riding, comprising all the area within the following boundary-lines: Commencing at the south-western boundary corner of Section 10, Block I, Purua S.D., thence north along the western boundary of Sections 10 and 11 to the northern corner boundary of Section 14, thence south along the eastern boundary-line of the said Section 14 and Section 13 to junction with Wairua River, thence south and west along the course of the said river to the south-west boundary corner of Section 10, being the point of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto existing between us, the undersigned, JOHN BUSBRIDGE and WILLIAM JAMES JOHNSON, as Coal-mine Proprietors at Wyndham, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 5th day of January, 1920. All debts owing to the late Partnership will be payable to the said JOHN BUSBRIDGE, and he will also pay all accounts and claims against the Partnership, and the said JOHN BUSBRIDGE will carry on the business on his own account.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE Partnership heretofore subsisting between JOHN FRANCIS HEGARTY and ALBERT EDWIN GRANT, carrying on business together at Hamilton and elsewhere as Plasterers, under the firm-name of “Hegarty and Grant,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 22nd day of October, 1919.

All moneys due to the late firm shall be collected by HENRY CRACKNELL, Accountant, Hamilton, whose receipt therefor shall be a good and sufficient discharge.

KAITIEKE COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE AT AN ORDINARY MEETING HELD ON THE 6TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1919.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Kaitieke County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purposes of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorized to be raised by the Kaitieke County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of reforming and metalling portion of the Kokakonui Road, the Kaitieke County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny farthing in the pound upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Kokakonui Special Rating Area, comprising Section 1, Block VII, Hunua S.D.; Sections 4 and 5, Block I, Kaitieke S.D.; Section 1, Block II, Owatua S.D.; Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, Block IV, Retaruke S.D.; and part Public Domain Reserve, Block III, Retaruke S.D., which portion of the Public Domain Reserve contains approximately 350 acres; being the rateable properties within the following boundaries,——

Commencing at the north-western corner of Section 5, Block IV, Retaruke S.D., and following the western boundaries of such Section 5 and Section 3, said Block IV, to the south-western corner of such Section 3; thence by the southern boundaries of such Section 3 and Sections 5 and 6, said Block IV, and Section 4, Block I, Kaitieke S.D., to the south-western corner of Section 5, said Block I; thence generally by the southern, eastern, and northern boundaries of such Section 5 and the northern boundaries of Section 1, Block VII, Hunua S.D., and Section 1, Block II, Owatua S.D., to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by portion of the western boundary of the last-mentioned section and by the Makoura Stream to the north-eastern corner of Kirikau B Native Reserve, Block III, Retaruke S.D.; thence by the boundary-line between such Native reserve and the Public Domain Reserve to the Kokakonui Road, and crossing such road to its southern boundary by a right angle; thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of such road to the north-western corner of said Section 5, Block IV, Retaruke S.D., being the commencing-point.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until such loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—ADDITIONAL TEN PER CENT. ON LOAN OF £1,300, FOR COMPLETING THE METALLING OF THE TOKOMARU EAST ROAD.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waitotara County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £130, being ten per centum on a loan of £1,300 authorized to be raised by the Waitotara County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the metalling of the Tokomaru East Road; the said Waitotara County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-sixteenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Tokomaru East Road Special Rating District, as gazetted on page 4029 of the New Zealand Gazette, 1915, in connection with the original Tokomaru East Special Rating District; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Description of Boundaries.—The whole of the Tokomaru East Road Special Rating District.
