Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Hamilton taken on the 12th day of December, 1919, on the proposal of the Hamilton Borough Council to borrow the sum of £5,000 for the following purpose:—
For the purchase, construction, erection, and laying of retort-beds, condensers, gas-mains, and other additions and extensions of the gasworks of the Borough of Hamilton
the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 314, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 116; informal, 7: total number of voters, 437.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
