in Council declare that any land subject to Part XIV or XV of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), and vested in a Maori Land Board, shall no longer be subject to such Parts of that Act, and shall be revested in the Native owners thereof:

And whereas the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is at present subject to Part XIV of the said Act, and is vested in the Tokerau District Maori Land Board, which Board has recommended that such land be no longer subject as aforesaid and that it be revested in the Native owners:

And whereas the Governor-General is satisfied that the said land is not subject to any lease, license, contract for sale, or other alienation, and that no moneys are charged on the said land or on the revenue thereof in accordance with the said Act or under any other authority:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section ninety-six of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall no longer be subject to Part XIV of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall be revested in the Native owners thereof.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land, containing 2 acres 1 rood 4 perches, more or less, and known as Te Tainga No. 2 Block, situate in the Kawakawa Survey District, in the Land District of North Auckland.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this nineteenth day of January, 1920.

WHEREAS by section ninety-six of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that the Governor-General in Council may from time to time by Order in Council declare that any land subject to Part XIV or XV of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), and vested in a Maori Land Board, shall no longer be subject to such Parts of that Act, and shall be revested in the Native owners thereof:

And whereas the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is at present subject to Part XV of the said Act, and is vested in the Aotea District Maori Land Board, which Board has recommended that such land be no longer subject as aforesaid and that it be revested in the Native owners:

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Morven Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this nineteenth day of January, 1920.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the sixteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the nineteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Morven Domain:

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed will expire on the twenty-second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen:

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

MICHAEL COONEY,
DONALD KENNEDY,
JOHN TAYLOR HAY,
ERNEST THOMAS FORBES, and
JOHN FRANCIS COONEY,

as from the twenty-third day of December, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, to be the Morven Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the fourth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Athenæum, Morven, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

MORVEN DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 60 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 3596, situate in Block VII, Waitaki Survey District, and bounded northward by Reserve No. 1816, 1506 links; towards the east by the road forming the western boundary of Rural Sections Nos. 28388 and 28225, 4151·6 links; southward by the road-line, 1543·6 links; and westward by the Great Southern Railway Reserve, 3815·4 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/348, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged pink.

Directing that the District Valuation Rolls for certain Districts shall be revised as at the 31st Day of March, 1920, under the Valuation of Land Act, 1908.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the Valuation of Land Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and direct that the district valuation rolls for the districts enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be revised by the Valuer-General as at the 31st day of March, 1920.
