THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Proclamation dated the 23rd day of September, 1895,
and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 72, of the 26th
day of September, 1895.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing
by admeasurement 700 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks
XIV and XV, Wakamarina Survey District. Bounded to-
towards the north and north-west by Sections 34 and 33,
Block XIV, and Section 8, Block XV, Wakamarina Survey
District, 7280 links; towards the east by the remaining
portion of State forest, being a line bearing 183° 30′, 7400
links, to Mountain Camp Creek; towards the south by that
creek, 2900 links; again towards the east by the remaining
portion of State forest, being a line bearing 180°, 3500
links; thence towards the south-east by a reserve for the
growth and preservation of timber, being a line bearing
230°, 7400 links; thence towards the west by Section 4,
Block XIV, Wakamarina Survey District, and Crown land,
8860 links, to Mountain Camp Creek; again towards the
south by that creek, 1300 links; again towards the west
by the abuttal of a river reserve, Sections 5 and 36, Block
XIV, Wakamarina Survey District, and Crown land, 6611·3
links, to the point of commencement.

Proclamation dated the 2nd day of March, 1887, and pub-
lished in the New Zealand Gazette No. 23, of the 7th April,
1887.

Also all that area in the Marlborough Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 400 acres, more or less, situated
in Block XIV, Wakamarina Survey District. Bounded to-
towards the north-east by Section 42, Block XIV aforesaid,
and the abuttal of road, 7900 links; towards the south-east
by the Wakamarina River; towards the west along the
State-forest boundary by Crown lands, 12400 links; and
towards the north-west by a reserve for the growth and
preservation of timber, 2600 links.

Proclamation dated the 2nd day of March, 1887, and pub-
lished in the New Zealand Gazette No. 23, of the 7th April,
1887.

Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint

Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order,
Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of
Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-
in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion
of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and
issued under the Seal of the said Dominion,
at the Government House at Wellington, this
fiftieth day of December, in the year of our Lord
one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Altering Boundaries of Waimate West and Egmont Counties.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Waimate West County Council, in pur-
suance of subsection three of section three of the
Counties Amendment Act, 1913 (hereinafter referred to as
“the said Act”), duly presented a petition, in accordance
with the said subsection three, praying that the boundaries
of the Waimate West and Egmont Counties be altered by
including in the said Waimate West County the area of the
Egmont County described in that petition:

And whereas a Commission was appointed to inquire and
report thereon in accordance with the said subsection three,
and has duly reported that the boundaries of the said counties
should be altered in the manner described in the report of
the said Commission:

And whereas it is expedient to alter the boundaries of the
said counties in such manner as is deemed to be in accord-
ance with such report:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority conferred on me by the said Act, I, Arthur
William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the area described in the First Schedule
hereto, being now part of the Egmont County, shall, as
from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty, be deemed to be added to and form part of the
Waimate West County; and, with the like power and autho-
rity, do also proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the
Waimate West and Egmont Counties as so altered shall be
those set forth under the respective headings in the Second
Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

AREA TO BE EXCLUDED FROM EGMONT COUNTY AND INCLUDED
IN WAIMATE WEST COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by
a line commencing at the north-western corner of Section 1,
Block XIII, Kaupokonui Survey District, and proceeding
easterly along the northern boundary of that section and its
production to the middle of the Oeo Road; thence southerly
along the middle of that road to a point in line with the
southern boundary of Section 20, Block I, Waimate Survey
District; thence to and along that boundary to the western
boundary of Block I, Waimate Survey District; thence
southerly along the said western boundary of Block I and the
western boundary of Block V, Waimate Survey District, to
the sea; thence north-westerly along the sea-coast to the
western boundary of Subdivision F of Sections 4, Block III,
and 2, Block II, Oeo Survey District; thence north-easterly
along that boundary to the South Road; thence north-
westerly along the southern side of that road to a point in
line with the western boundary of Subdivision C of Section 1,
Block II, Oeo Survey District; thence to and along that
boundary to the southern boundary of Section 1, being part
of Section 24, Block II; thence westerly along that boundary
to the middle of the Oeo River, and up the middle of that
river to the southern side of Skeet Road; thence westerly
along the southern side of that road to a point in line with
the western boundary of Section 39, Block XIV, Opunake
Survey District; thence to and along that boundary to the
southern boundary of Section 33; thence easterly along that
boundary and northerly along the eastern boundaries of
Sections 33, 32, 31, and 30, Block XIV, Opunake Survey
District, to the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

WAIMATE WEST COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a
line commencing at the north-western corner of Section 1,
Block XIII, Kaupokonui Survey District, and proceeding
easterly along the northern boundaries of Blocks XIII, XIV,
and XV to the middle of the Palmer Road; thence southerly
along the middle of that road to the northern boundary of
Section 147, Block IV, Waimate Survey District; thence
westerly along that boundary to the north-eastern corner of
Section 75, Block III, Waimate Survey District; thence
southerly along the eastern boundary of Block III, Waimate
Survey District, to the Inaha Road; thence due west to and
southerly along the middle of that road to the sea; thence
westerly along the sea-coast to the western boundary of
Subdivision F of Sections 4, Block III, and 2, Block II, Oeo
Survey District; thence north-easterly along that boundary
to the South Road; thence north-westerly along the southern
side of that road to a point in line with the western boundary
of Subdivision C of Section 1, Block II, Oeo Survey District;
thence to and along that boundary to the southern boundary
of Section 1, being part of Section 24, Block II; thence
westerly along that boundary to the middle of the Oeo River,
and up the middle of that river to the southern side of Skeet
Road; thence westerly along the southern side of that road
to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 39,
Block XIV, Opunake Survey District; thence to and along
that boundary to the southern boundary of Section 33; thence
easterly along that boundary and northerly along the eastern

THIRD SCHEDULE.

EGMONT COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a
line commencing on the summit of Mount Egmont, and
proceeding thence southerly along a right line to a point in
the middle of the Aurora Road at its junction with the forest-
reserve boundary; thence southerly along the middle of that
road to its junction with the southern boundary of Block IX,
Kaupokonui Survey District; thence westerly along that
boundary to the eastern boundary of Section 30, Block XIV,
Opunake Survey District; thence southerly along the western
boundary of the Waimate West County as hereinbefore
described to the sea; thence north-westerly along the sea-
coast to the north-western corner of Section 26, Block IV,
