THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend, in the manner set
forth in the Schedule hereto, the regulations made under the
said Act on the twenty-sixth day of June, one thousand
nine hundred and fifteen, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette on the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred
and fifteen, hereinafter called “the said regulations”; and
doth hereby declare that such amended regulations shall
come into force on the date of the publication thereof in the
New Zealand Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
Clauses 22 (1) and 29 (1) of the said regulations are hereby
amended as follows:—
By deleting the words “for one week or more” after the
words “when any workman has been off work through an
accident,” and by deleting the words from “provided that
no workman” to the end of the paragraph in each of the
said clauses.

Amending an Order in Council withdrawing Land from the
Operations of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-ninth
day of July, 1919.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twentieth
day of August, one thousand nine hundred and
eighteen, Section 35, Block VI, and Section 30, Block X,
Hohoura Survey District, and comprising portion of the
Hohoura Kauri-gum Reserve Extension No. 2, were with-
drawn from the operations of the Kauri-gum Industry Act,
1908:
And whereas an error was made in the description of the
said sections in the Schedule to the said Order in Council,
the same having been described as containing by admeasure-
ment an area of 28 acres 0 roods 20 perches instead of 23 acres
0 roods 24 perches, and it is desirable that the said error
should be rectified:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and autho-
rities conferred upon me by the said Act, and of every other
power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, do hereby amend the Schedule to the
Order in Council dated the twentieth day of August, one
thousand nine hundred and eighteen, hereinbefore referred
to, by substituting the words “containing by admeasurement
23 acres 0 roods 24 perches” for the words “containing by
admeasurement 28 acres 0 roods 20 perches.”

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-ninth
day of July, 1919.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS by section twenty-six, subsection one, of the
Appropriation Act, 1915, it is provided that, not-
withstanding any Act to the contrary, it shall not be lawful
or competent for any local authority or for any Harbour
Board, during the present war with Germany, to borrow or
contract to borrow any money (otherwise than by way of bank
overdraft within the limit of its powers, if any, in that
behalf), whether from the State Advances Office or from any
other source whatever, and whether in pursuance of a special
Act or under any other authority whatever, without the
precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council:
And whereas application has been made for the consent of
the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local
authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the
loans set out in column “B” therein:
And whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of
the Governor-General in Council should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter
mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the
Schedule hereto, provided that the rate of interest at which
the loans or any of them are to be raised shall in no case
produce to the lender a return exceeding five and one-quarter
pounds per centum per annum; and it is hereby declared
that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in
that behalf of the Appropriation Act, 1915, and shall operate
accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council
to the raising of the loans hereby authorized.
