A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the areas of settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

Declaring a Portion of Railway Reserve at Mount Rex to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section five of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, it is provided that in the case of any land taken, purchased, or acquired for a Government work, and not required for that purpose, the Governor-General may, on recommendation by the Minister, by Proclamation declare such land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908, and thereupon the land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto has been, inter alia, acquired for the purposes of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway by a Proclamation dated the fourth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 30, of the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen: And whereas the said land is not now required for the purposes of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway, and the Minister has recommended that this Proclamation should be issued declaring such land to be Crown land:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section five of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land : 4-3 perches and 8-3 perches.
Portions of railway reserve (E.R. 93), Ararimu Parish, Block X, Kaipara Survey District, Waitemata County. (S.O. 20315, blue.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 26433, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon edged blue.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway to take further land at Mount Rex, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 27-8 perches.
Portion of Education Reserve, Ararimu Parish, Block X, Kaipara Survey District, Waitemata County. (S.O. 20315, blue.)
