Mining Privileges to be struck off the Register.—Notice under the Mining Amendment Act, 1914.
Office of the Mining Registrar, Collingwood, 19th June, 1919.
NOTICE is hereby given that if within three months from the date hereof cause be not shown to the contrary, each of the mining privileges mentioned in the Schedule hereto will be struck off the Mining Registers kept by me, in pursuance of section 30, subsection (4), of the Mining Amendment Act, 1914.

SPECIAL SIGNALS FOR DIVERTING TRAFFIC.
Marine Department,
Wellington, N.Z., 30th June, 1919.

WHILST H.M. mine-sweeping sloops “Geranium,” “Mallow,” and “Marguerite” are employed on the Cape Farewell and Three Kings minefields they will make use of the following urgent and important signals, which will be hoisted at the masthead, just below the ball indicative of mine-sweepers.

The signals will be made by International flags; the position of the code flag in the hoist being the distinctive feature of the table.

All merchant vessels, especially when in sight of mine-sweepers or patrol vessels, should keep a special look-out for any of these signals being hoisted; their safety may depend on it.

Guns may be fired to attract attention, if necessary.

B Code Flag .. Stop Instantly—You are Standing into Danger.
C Code Flag .. Alter Course to Starboard—You are Standing into Danger.
D Code Flag .. Alter Course to Port—You are Standing into Danger.
E Code Flag .. Keep to Eastward of Sweepers.
N Code Flag .. Keep to Northward of Sweepers.
S Code Flag .. Keep to Southward of Sweepers.
W Code Flag .. Keep to Westward of Sweepers.
