lency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of the road in the Wellington Land District, Patea County, known as the Waitotara Valley Road (Lower), commencing at a point 29·50 chains south of the northern boundary of Section 9, Block II, Nukumaru Survey District, and continuing thence generally in a northerly direction, fronting part of aforesaid Section 9, Block II, Nukumaru Survey District, and part of Section 12, Block XIV, Momahaki Survey District, and terminating at a point 6 chains south of the northern boundary of aforesaid Section 12, Block XIV, Momahaki Survey District; being a total distance of 62 chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 46023, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.

Regulations under the Public Health Amendment Act, 1918.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-first day of May, 1919.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on him by the Public Health Act, 1908, as amended by the Public Health Amendment Act, 1918, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations for the purposes of the said Acts.
REGULATIONS.

EACH member of the Board of Public Health, not being an officer of the Public Service, shall be paid the sum of one guinea for every day on which he attends a meeting of the Board, together with the sum of 10s. 6d. for every night during which he is necessarily absent from his home by reason of such attendance.

In all claims by any such members for payment of the travelling-expenses reasonably incurred by him in attending meetings of the Board and in transacting the business thereof, full particulars shall be shown for the purposes of audit, and, except in the case of train fares, ordinary steamer fares, and ordinary coach fares, receipts for all payments made in excess of 5s. shall accompany the claim.

Validating Proceedings in connection with a Loan of £600 proposed to be raised by the Upper Mangapiko Drainage Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-first day of May, 1919.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Upper Mangapiko Drainage Board, acting under and in pursuance of paragraph (e) of section sixteen of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, lately proposed to raise a loan of six hundred pounds for the purpose of constructing drainage-works in the £600 Loan Special Rating Area:
And whereas the public notices of the special order authorizing the raising of the loan, although four publications were made, were not given once in each of the four weeks immediately preceding the day on which the special order was confirmed, inasmuch as no public notice was given in the fourth week as required by section ninety-seven of the Counties Act, 1908:
And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been misled by the said irregularity, and it is expedient to validate the same:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one hundred and eleven of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the proceedings taken to raise the said loan shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though the public notifications of the special order authorizing the raising of the loan had been given in the proper manner, and that the proceedings shall not be called into question by reason only of the irregularity aforesaid.

Vesting a Reserve in the Lumsden Town Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of May, 1919.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for cemetery purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Lumsden Town Board:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section four of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Lumsden Town Board, in trust, for cemetery purposes.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being Section 241B, Block V, Hokonui Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Flora Road, 793 links: towards the east by Lot 1 (L.T. plan 77), Block V aforesaid, 527·9 links; towards the south by Section 4, Block II, South Lumsden, 700·2 links; and towards the west by Pluto Road and Section 3, Block I, South Lumsden, 900·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 2/308, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-first day of May, 1919.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a site for a public library and reading-room: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient that the said land should be vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Shannon:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section four of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Shannon, in trust, as a site for a public library and reading-room.
