Land in Wellington Land District declared to be subject to Section 127 of the Land Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Land Board of the Wellington Land District has recommended that the Crown tenant of the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto should be afforded relief, owing to exceptional circumstances over which he has no control preventing the profitable occupation of such land:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section twenty-five of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1911, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto to be subject to the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-seven of the Land Act, 1908; and I do further fix two years from the date mentioned in the said Schedule as the period for which the said land shall be exempt from payment of rent.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 2, Block VI, Ruahine Survey District: 23rd March, 1919.

Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 14 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land :

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909 :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.

SCHEDULE.

Parihaka No. 5B Block : Approximate area, 121 acres 1 rood 23 perches ; Cape Survey District.

Additional Land taken for the Purposes of a Post-office in Block XVI, Waitemata Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of a post-office in Block XVI, Waitemata Survey District:

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a post-office; and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 1·17 perches. Portion of southern portion of Allotment 1, Section 6, Suburbs of Auckland, Block XVI, Waitemata Survey District. (S.O. 20353.)

In the North Auckland Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 45722, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged red.
