Closing a Public Road at Rarotonga, Cook Islands.

WHEREAS by section 613 of the Cook Islands Act, 1915, it is provided that the Minister for the Cook Islands may by warrant close in whole or part any road in the Cook Islands:

Now, therefore, I, Maui Pomare, the Minister for the Cook Islands, do hereby, in pursuance of the authority so conferred upon me, close the road situated in the Cook Islands and described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in Rarotonga, being a road five metres wide, intersecting Section 46c (Puati), Takitumu District. The western side of the said road runs from Concrete Block 77, on the northern side of the main Coast Road, north-westerly to an orange tree at the south-eastern corner of Section 45N No. 2 (Porutu), and thence along the eastern boundary of that section to the Ara Metua Road. As the same is delineated on the plan marked C.I.A. 18/1/19, deposited in the office of the Cook Islands Administration at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under my hand and the seal of the Cook Islands this 15th day of May, 1919.

Proclaiming Land as a Public Road at Rarotonga, Cook Islands.

WHEREAS by section 607 of the Cook Islands Act, 1915, it is provided that the Minister for the Cook Islands may by warrant proclaim any Crown, European, or Native land as a road:

Now, therefore, I, Maui Pomare, the Minister for the Cook Islands, do hereby, in pursuance of the authority so conferred upon me, proclaim as a road the land situated in the Cook Islands and described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in Rarotonga, being a road-line 25 links wide, containing 2 roods 11 perches, more or less, and being parts of Sections 46c and 45N No. 2, starting from the northern side of the main Beach Road at the south-west corner of the said Section 46c, running thence along the western boundary of the said Section 46c to the southern boundary of said Section 45N No. 2, thence through said Section 45N No. 2 along the southern and eastern boundaries thereof to the Ara Metua Road. As the said area is delineated on the plan marked C.I.A. No. 4, deposited in the office of the Cook Islands Administration at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

NOTICE is hereby given that, no person having taken out administration, the Public Trustee has filed in the Supreme Court at Wellington an election to administer the several estates of the persons deceased whose names, residences, and occupations (so far as known) are hereunder respectively set forth, their gross properties being estimated not to exceed £400 in each case.
