HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, and transfers of officers on active service with the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, vide List No. 77, E.F. Orders.

CANTERBURY MOUNTED RIFLES.

7/270, Staff Sergeant-Major N. C. Sheridan, to be 2nd Lieutenant, and is seconded for duty with the N.Z. Provost Corps, to complete Establishment. Dated 22nd October, 1918.

OTAGO MOUNTED RIFLES.

2nd Lieutenant W. Bell, having been declared by a Medical Board to be unfit for general service within twelve months, is seconded, under provisions of N.Z.E.F. Regulation 34. Dated 18th October, 1918.

9/491, Sergeant W. H. Claringbold, to be 2nd Lieutenant, supernumerary to Establishment. Dated 18th October, 1918.

N.Z. CYCLIST BATTALION.

Major C. H. D. Evans, D.S.O., to be Lieut.-Colonel, to complete Establishment. Dated 31st October, 1918.

Lieutenant D. G. Cody is granted the temporary rank of Captain, vice Captain H. D. McHugh, M.C. Dated 4th October, 1918.

N.Z. FIELD ARTILLERY.

Lieutenant C. Woods, returned from New Zealand, is removed from the N.Z. Roll. Dated 29th October, 1918.

2nd Lieutenant D. Macrae, having been declared by a Medical Board to be unfit for general service within twelve months, is seconded, under provisions of N.Z.E.F. Regulation 34. Dated 8th October, 1918.

2nd Lieutenant A. T. Williams is seconded for duty as A.D.C. to G.O.C., N.Z. Division, vice Lieutenant H. F. Arkwright, Wellington Regiment, returning to regimental duty. Dated 12th October, 1918.

Lieutenant-Colonel I. T. Standish, C.M.G., D.S.O., R.N.Z.A., relinquishes command of 1st Brigade, N.Z.F.A., and is seconded for duty to New Zealand. Dated 23rd October, 1918.

Lieutenant-Colonel F. Symon, C.M.G., D.S.O., R.N.Z.A., from commanding N.Z.F.A. Reserve Depot, to command 1st Brigade, N.Z.F.A., vice Lieutenant-Colonel I. T. Standish, C.M.G., D.S.O., seconded for duty to New Zealand. Dated 28th October, 1918.

Lieutenant A. J. Flett to be Orderly Officer, 1st N.Z.F.A. Brigade, vice Lieutenant G. B. Parkinson, R.N.Z.A., appointed Adjutant, and is seconded whilst so employed. Dated 14th October, 1918.

Lieutenant A. J. Coutts, from Staff Officer for Reconnaissance, to be Adjutant, N.Z.D.A.C., vice Lieutenant (Acting-Captain) W. J. Hicks, M.M. (appointed Adjutant, N.Z.F.A. Reserve Depot), and is granted the acting rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 10th October, 1918.

Lieutenant R. S. Park, R.N.Z.A., to be Staff Officer for Reconnaissance, vice Lieutenant A. J. Coutts, and is seconded whilst so employed. Dated 10th October, 1918.

Lieutenant D. McG. Reid to be an Instructor, N.Z.F.A. Reserve Depot, vice Captain F. C. Soar. Dated 22nd October, 1918.

2nd Lieutenant L. J. Ivory to be Lieutenant, under provisions of N.Z.E.F. Regulation 13. Dated 21st October, 1918.
