A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is
required to be taken, under the Public Works Act,
1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the more effective
carrying-out of drainage or other works in the Hauraki Plains,
or for the better disposal of Crown land set apart in that
district :

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law
to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such
land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed
and performed :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and autho-
rities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the
Hauraki Plains Act, 1908, and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the more effective carrying-out of
drainage or other works in the Hauraki Plains, or for the
better disposal of Crown land set apart in that district ; and
I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take
effect on and after the first day of February, one thousand
nine hundred and nineteen.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 70 acres
3 roods 17 perches.

Being Puhangateuru No. 3B Section 2, Blocks V and VI,
Waihou Survey District. (S.O. 20129.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44961,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
edged red.

East Coast Main Trunk Railway, Napier Northwards (part
Eskdale and Tutira Sections), and for road approaches
thereto :

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law
to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such
land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been
observed and performed :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and
eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every
other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land men-

portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified and
for the road approaches thereto as aforesaid.
