Hawke's Bay Fruit-canning Company (Limited) be wound
up and go into voluntary liquidation; and that Mr. H. E.
ROBERTS is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of
winding up the affairs of the company in accordance with
the terms of this resolution."

WAIRUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and in the
matter of the Counties Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wairua County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-entitled
Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the formation
and construction of a public road to be called the Makaretu-
Mangaone Road ; and for that purpose the following lands
are required to be taken—namely, 4 acres l rood 35 perches,
more or less, being part of the Tutuotekaha 1B 1 Block, and
25 perches, more or less, being part of the Tutuotekaha 1B 2
Block, both situate in Block XVI of the Opoiti Survey Dis-
trict; as the same lands are delineated in a plan filed in the
office at Gisborne of the Chief Surveyor at Napier under
Number 892 (brown), and therein coloured red.
And notice is likewise given that a plan of the said lands
is deposited at the office of the said Council in Queen Street
in the Borough of Wairua, and is open for inspection (without
fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected are called upon to set forth in writing
any well-grounded objections they may have to the execution
of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands,
and to send such writing, within forty days from the first
publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the office
of the said Council aforesaid.

OHINEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL.
COPY OF RESOLUTION STRIKING A SPECIAL RATE IN THE
TAHUNA SPECIAL RATING AREA.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Ohinemuri County Council hereby resolves as follows :-
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in re-
spect of principal and interest and also the other charges on
a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Ohinemuri
County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
for the construction of the following roads in the Patetonga
Riding of the said Ohinemuri County—viz., Piako County
boundary to Tahuna Post-office; Tahuna Post-office to
Maukoro deviation; Maukoro deviation; Tahuna Landing
Road; Tahuna to Waiti Road; and Waiti Road to
Waikato County boundary—the said Ohinemuri County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one
penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable
property of the Tahuna Special Rating Area, as follows :
Commencing at Puketionga Trig. Station; thence in a
south-easterly direction along the north-eastern boundary
of Hoe-o-tainui North 6B No. 2N to its junction with the
westernmost point of Section 3, Block IV, Hapuakohe Survey
District; thence in a north-easterly direction along the north-
western boundary of the said Section 3, and by a prolongation
of the same line to the eastern side of the Mangawhara South
Main Road; thence in a southerly direction along the eastern
side of the said road to its junction with the northern bound-
ary of Section 6, of Block IV, Hapuakohe; thence along the
northern boundary of the said section and of Maukoro No. 2B
to its north-eastern corner; thence in a southerly direction
along the eastern boundary of the said Maukoro No. 2B to
its junction with the northern boundary of Block V, Waitoa
Survey District; thence in a north-easterly direction along
the northern boundary of the said Block V, Waitoa Survey
District, and portion of the southern boundary of Section 4,
Block I, Waitoa, to its junction with the Morrinsville-Wai-
takaruru Main Road, and by a prolongation of the same line
to the eastern side of the said road; thence along the eastern
side of the said road in a generally northerly direction to the
north-eastern corner of Section 6, Block I, Waitoa; thence
in an easterly direction along the northern boundary of the
said Section 6 to the left bank of the Piako River; thence in
a generally southerly direction along the left bank of the
Piako River to the south-eastern corner of Willis Grant,
Block IX, Waitoa Survey District; thence in a generally
westerly direction along the southern boundary of the said
Willis Grant, Sections 7, 3, and 2, of the said Block IX,
Waitoa Survey District, and of Hoe-o-tainui South No. 4A
to its intersection with the boundary between the Ohinemuri
and Piako Counties; thence in a westerly direction along
the said county boundary to its junction with the line of
boundary between the Ohinemuri and Waikato Counties;
thence in a generally northerly direction along the said Wai-
kato County boundary to Puketionga Trig. Station, the point
of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st
day of October in each and every year during the currency
of such loan; being a period of 36 years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.

In the matter of the Rating Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’
Loans Act, and the Acts amending the same respec-
tively.
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a poll of the rate-
payers of the Borough of New Plymouth taken on the
30th day of April, 1919, upon the following proposal:-
Proposal : That henceforth the system of rating property on
the basis of the unimproved value thereof be adopted in the
Borough of New Plymouth,-
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 781, and
the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 595.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
