Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Grace of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-third day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District, Waimarino County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of a road in Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District, Waimarino County:

And whereas the Waimarino County Council has laid before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Counties Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-fourth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 2 acres 1 rood 18·35 perches.

Portion of Section 19, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 45719, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured pink.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Block VI, Cambridge Survey District, Matamata County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of a road in Block VI, Cambridge Survey District, Matamata County:

And whereas an agreement has been entered into, in terms of section twenty-seven of the said Act, to take such land for the public work hereinafter set forth:

And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor-General to issue a Proclamation taking the land, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, and being satisfied of the sufficiency of the agreement hereinbefore referred to, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 rood 36·4 perches.

Portion of Section E 2, Whitehall Settlement, Block VI, Cambridge Survey District. (S.O. 19513.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 45579, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for the purpose of stop-banks in Block XII, Waihou Survey District:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Waihou and Ohinemuri Rivers Improvement Act, 1910, and the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purpose of the said stop-banks.
