Appointments, Promotions, Resignations, and Transfers of Officers of the N.Z. Staff Corps and Territorial Force.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Staff Corps and Territorial Force, and the reposting of officers from the N.Z. Expeditionary Force to the Territorial Force.

APPOINTMENTS.

Captain George Clarance Sykes Dyer, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed Assistant Adjutant-General, Otago Military District. Dated 1st April, 1919.

Lieutenant-Colonel Joseph Garrett Roache, D.S.O., Reserve of Officers (temp.), is attached to the Adjutant-General’s Department and graded with pay and rank of Major whilst employed as Director of Base Records. Dated 1st April, 1919.

Captain Matthew Henry Oram, N.Z. Field Artillery, “J” Battery, relinquishes the appointment of Deputy Director of Base Records. Dated 28th April, 1919.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) Charles Gamble, Unattached List (b), General List, relinquishes the appointment of Camp Paymaster, Featherston Military Camp, and the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 3rd April, 1919.

Lieutenant Stanley Austin Carr, from the N.Z. Forces Motor Service Corps, to be Lieutenant. Dated 26th March, 1919.

Lieutenant James Penniket to be Captain under the provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913. Dated 24th February, 1919.

Lieutenant Percy Ellis is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 4th April, 1919.

Captain Edward Vincent Daldy to be Major under the provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913. Dated 2nd April, 1919.

Lieutenant Thomas Manus McGeehan, from the 15th (North Auckland) Regiment, to be Lieutenant. Dated 4th April, 1919.

7TH (WELLINGTON WEST COAST) REGIMENT.

2nd Lieutenant Donald Gilbert Kennedy, from the 10th (North Otago) Regiment, to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 3rd April, 1919.

10TH (NORTH OTAGO) REGIMENT.

2nd Lieutenant Donald Gilbert Kennedy is transferred to the 7th (Wellington West Coast) Regiment. Dated 3rd April, 1919.

13TH (NORTH CANTERBURY AND WESTLAND) REGIMENT.

Lieutenant Richard Atkinson Abbott ceases to be attached to the N.Z. Garrison Artillery, Auckland Garrison Artillery Division. Dated 1st April, 1919.

Captain (temp.) Leonard Smith Talbot, M.B., resigns his commission. Dated 26th March, 1919.

With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 17, of 20th February, 1919, relating to Captain (temp. Lieutenant-Colonel) James Herbert Graham Robertson, M.B., relinquishing his appointment as Principal Medical Officer, Featherston Military Camp, for the words “Dated 23rd January, 1919,” read “Dated 5th February, 1919.”

N.Z. DENTAL CORPS.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) Murray Kingsley Litchfield relinquishes his appointment in N.Z. Expeditionary Force Training Camps, and the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 13th December, 1918.

N.Z. CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT.

The Reverend George William Dent, Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class, to be Chaplain to the Forces, 3rd Class. Dated 21st November, 1912.

The Reverend Arthur Alfred Bensley to be Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class. Dated 4th April, 1919.

The Reverend George Lindsay, Chaplain to the Forces, 3rd Class, retires under the provisions of paragraph 126 and 127 (a), General Regulations, 1913. Dated 4th April, 1919.
