Land taken for the Purposes of a Recreation-ground in Block XI, Puketapu Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of a recreation-ground in Block XI, Puketapu Survey District:

And whereas an agreement has been entered into, in terms of section twenty-seven of the said Act, to take such land for the public work hereinafter set forth:

And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor-General to issue a Proclamation taking the land as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, and being satisfied of the sufficiency of the agreement hereinbefore referred to, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a recreation-ground; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the third day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 41838 (sheet 3), deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged pink.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a further portion of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway, Napier Northwards (part Eskdale and Tutira Sections), and for road approaches thereto:

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a further portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified, and for the road approaches thereto as aforesaid.
