Meeting of the South Island District Maori Land Board.

Wellington, 16th April, 1919.

NOTICE is hereby given that the matters mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written will be considered at a meeting of the South Island District Maori Land Board to be held at Temuka on Wednesday, the 7th day of May, 1919, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., or as soon thereafter as the business of the Board will allow.

Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909.

REGULATION No. 52.

THE Maori Land Board for the Aotea Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Waharangi 7A will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Raetihi on Wednesday, the 7th day of May, 1919, at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolutions:—

“That the block of land known as Waharangi 7A, containing 913 acres, be leased to Tuirirangi te Koau, of Pipiriki, aboriginal Native, for the term of forty-two years, at the yearly rental for the first twenty-one years of the said term of 2s. per acre, and at the yearly rental for the remaining twenty-one years of the said term at a rental equivalent to 5 per cent. upon the unimproved value of the said land at the commencement of such second period of twenty-one years; or

“That the said land be leased to Rose Ellena Punch, of Raetihi, spinster, for the term of forty-two years, at the yearly rental of 2s. per acre for the first twenty-one years, and at the yearly rental of £5 per centum on the Government unimproved value for the remaining twenty-one years.”

Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909.

REGULATION No. 52.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Rangatira 3D Block is summoned and will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Gisborne on Monday, the 5th day of May, 1919, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution:—

“That the Rangatira 3D Block be sold to Hilary James Peacocke, of Te Karaka, farmer, at the price of £15 per acre.”

REGULATION No. 52.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Rangatira 3J Block is summoned and will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Gisborne on Monday, the 5th day of May, 1919, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution:—

“That the Rangatira 3J Block be leased to Julia Josephine Doyle, of Te Karaka, wife of Myles Doyle, of Te Karaka, farmer, for a term of twenty-one years from the 1st day of June, 1919, at an annual rental of £1 per acre.”

Dated at Gisborne this 12th day of April, 1919.

REGULATION No. 52.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Turanga-a-te-Whetu-Apiti Block is summoned and will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Gisborne on Monday, the 5th day of May, 1919, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution:—

“That the Turanga-a-te-Whetu-Apiti Block be sold to Lawrence Tullock, of Te Arai, farmer, for the sum of £46 per acre.”
