EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of the outstanding duplicate of Memorandum of Lease No. 5540, affecting part of Town Section 706, City of Christchurch, part of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 45, folio 258, whereof the GRAND THEATRE AND PICTURE COMPANY (LIMITED) is the registered lessee, and application having been made to me to register a certain dealing affecting the said memorandum of lease, I hereby give notice that it is my intention to register such dealing, dispensing with the production of the said outstanding duplicate, at the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

WAITOA DRAINAGE BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATES.—TE PUNINGA SPECIAL RATING AREA.—SPECIAL DRAINAGE WORKS LOAN OF £500.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waitoa Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Waitoa Drainage Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing drainage-works in the Te Puringa Special Rating Area of the Waitoa Drainage District, the said Waitoa Drainage Board hereby makes and levies special rates, on a graduated scale according to the classification list of lands within the said special rating area, of one and three-sixteenths of one penny in the pound on the rateable value of all lands in Class “A,” of one penny in the pound on the rateable value of all lands in Class “B,” and thirteen-sixteenths of one penny in the pound on the rateable value of all lands in Class “C,” all of which classes and the lands therein, together with their rateable values as appearing on the special roll of the special rating area, are set out in the classification list marked “A” of the Te Puringa Special Rating Area of the Waitoa Drainage District, the boundaries of which are as follows:—
All that area of land in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the north-east corner of Lot 7 on the western side of the No. 8 Road, and following along that road forming the eastern boundaries of Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 of Sections 96/7 of the Waitoa Estate Subdivision, and also Section 98 of the Waitoa Estate Subdivision, to the south-east corner of that section; thence along the south and the south-western boundary of Section 98 aforesaid to its north-western corner, being also the southern boundary of Lot 12, which along to the Waiharakeke Stream, and along that stream to the north-western corner of Lot 7 of Sections 96/7 of the Waitoa Estate Subdivision, and along the northern boundary of that allotment to the No. 8 Road, the point of commencement.
Such rates shall be annually recurring rates during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of April and the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
We hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Waitoa Drainage Board properly constituted and held at Waihou on Saturday, 1st March, 1919. In testimony whereof the common seal of the Waitoa Drainage Board is hereto affixed, set and impressed.

OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waitemata County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one thousand four hundred pounds (£1,400), authorized to be raised by the Waitemata County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of construction by way of formation, metalling, and culverting on the Wainui-Kaukapakapa Road from the riding boundary to the junction of Seddon and Hellyer’s Roads, the said Waitemata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Wainui-Kaukapakapa Road-construction Special Loan Area (Wainui Riding), comprising the special rating area created by special order of the Waitemata County Council passed at a meeting held on the 25th day of October, 1918, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on the 27th November, 1918, and described in the Schedule hereto; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first days of January and July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
