NOTICE is hereby given that the Commissioners appointed to classify and report upon land in the Canterbury Land District have classified the pastoral run in the Schedule hereto as therein noted, and the classification has been approved by His Excellency the Governor-General under section 225 of the Land Act, 1908.

Being Lands suitable exclusively for Pasturage and not capable of being used with Profit in Areas of a Carrying-capacity of less than 5,000 Sheep.

Land in the Southland Land District for Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers.
District Lands and Survey Office,

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands are open for sale or lease under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the regulations thereunder; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, the 14th May, 1919.
The lands may be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or selected on lease for thirty-three years, with right of renewal for further successive periods of thirty-three years and a right to acquire the freehold.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, on Thursday, 15th May, 1919, at 10 o’clock a.m. The ballot will be held at the conclusion of the examination of applicants.

Section 2s: Area, 192 acres 0 roods 10 perches. Capital value, £2,720. Instalment on deferred payment (excluding interest), £136. Half-yearly rent on lease, £61 4s.
Section 3s: Area, 243 acres 0 roods 14 perches. Capital value, £2,920. Instalment on deferred payment (excluding interest), £178 10s. Half-yearly rent on lease, £65 14s. Instalment of interest and principal on buildings valued at £650, £25 7s.
Section 4s: Area, 233 acres 0 roods 37 perches. Capital value, £2,435. Instalment on deferred payment (excluding interest), £121 15s. Half-yearly rent on lease, £54 15s. 9d.
NOTE.—The deferred-payment instalments on Sections 1s and 3s include payment for the buildings thereon.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS.
The selector of Section 1s must pay the sum of £180 for the right to remove from Section 3s manager’s house and out-house within six months of date of selection.
The selector of Section 2s must pay the sum of £40 for the right to remove from Section 3s four-stalled stable and hut on wheels within six months of date of selection.
