THE following Notices to Mariners, which have been received from the Harbours Board Offices, Adelaide, and the Minister of State for Communications, Tokyo, are published for general information.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA.
GULF OF ST. VINCENT.—PORT ADELAIDE RIVER.
MASTERS of vessels, pilots, and others are cautioned that when approaching the suction dredger “South Australia” when lying or working at the shipbuilding site below No. 10, Inward Lead, they must slow down to such speed as will ensure their vessel passing the dredger at “Dead Slow,” or not exceeding a speed of four (4) knots through the water. The penalty for a breach of this rule is not less than five pounds. This affects Admiralty Chart No. 1750.
JAPAN.
W. COAST OF KARAFUTO.
Notice is hereby given that Kenushi Misaki light on Kenushi Misaki, W. coast of Karafuto, has been shown since the 22nd of December, 1918.
N.W. COAST OF KIUSHU.
Notice is hereby given that Wakamiya staff light on the N. point of Nyaku-shima, Iki Island, will be withdrawn on the 1st January, 1919, and on and after the same date the reconstructed light will be shown as follows :—
Wakamiya Lighthouse.
Description.—Octagonal stone tower, painted white.
Height of Light.—25 shaku above the base and 342 shaku above the sea-level.
Character of Light.—The 5th order, acetylene gas, occulting white, duration of light 4 seconds and of eclipse 2 seconds.
Power.—1,300 candles.
Visible Distance.—21 nautical miles in clear night.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Chairman, General Post Office, Wellington, not later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday, the 2nd April, 1919, for the supply and delivery at the Post and Telegraph Stores, Wellington, of 150 uniforms, skirt and coat, for telegraph message-girls.
