Land set apart for Selection.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section sixty-three of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, it is, amongst other things, enacted that in no case shall any moneys be expended under the provisions of the said section sixty-three in connection with any block of land, unless that block is set apart for selection under that section pursuant to Proclamation in that behalf:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the aforesaid Act, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for selection.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Jacob’s River No. 2 Block.
Sections 37, 38, 39, 43, 44, 45, 48, 49, 50, 51, and 52, Block XIX, Jacob’s River Hundred: Area, 2,280 acres 1 rood 31 perches.
As the same is delineated upon the plan marked L. and S. 5/120, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Grace of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this eighth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in the Borough of Lower Hutt, at Melling.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the Borough of Lower Hutt, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor-General is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Lower Hutt Borough Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land: 31·5 perches and 17 perches.
Portions of railway reserve (part Section 75, Hutt District), Block VIII, Belmont Survey District, Borough of Lower Hutt.
In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 26059, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway (branch from Clarksville (Tokomairiro) to Lawrence), and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the County of Bruce, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor-General is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Bruce County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
