HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, and transfers of officers on active service with the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, vide List No. 79, N.Z. Expeditionary Force Orders.

AUCKLAND MOUNTED RIFLES.

2nd Lieutenant E. J. Foley ceases to be seconded for duty to New Zealand. Dated 19th September, 1918.

Major D. Munro, having been declared by a Medical Board to be unfit for general service within twelve months, is seconded, under provisions of N.Z.E.F. Regulation 34. Dated 12th September, 1918.

Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Colonel) C. E. R. Mackesy, C.M.G., D.S.O., relinquishes the appointment of Officer Commanding N.Z. Training Units and Depots in Egypt, but remains seconded for duty with G.H.Q., E.E.F. Dated 29th September, 1918.

Captain G. Hovey to be D.A.A.G., N.Z.E.F. (U.K.), to complete Establishment, and remains seconded whilst so employed. Dated 15th November, 1918.

Lieutenant M. E. Johnson, M.C., is granted the temporary rank of Captain, vice Captain C. B. K. De Castro. Dated 4th October, 1918.

Captain G. Hovey performed the duties of D.A.A.G., N.Z.E.F. (U.K.), from 20th December, 1917, to 15th November, 1918.

Captain A. C. M. Finlayson commanded a squadron from 29th August, 1918, to 2nd November, 1918.

2nd Lieutenant L. McK. Paterson performed the duties of Field Cashier, N.Z.M.R. Brigade, from 12th September, 1918, to 18th October, 1918.

CANTERBURY MOUNTED RIFLES.

2nd Lieutenant F. H. Taylor ceases to be seconded for duty to New Zealand. Dated 19th September, 1918.

Lieutenant W. L. Harrison ceases to be seconded as a prisoner of war, but remains seconded for duty with the Royal Air Force. Dated 29th November, 1918.

Major R. T. Bruce relinquishes the appointment of Brigade Major to a British Infantry Brigade, and ceases to be seconded. Dated 10th October, 1918.

Lieutenant A. R. Manchester relinquishes the appointment of Quartermaster. Dated 19th September, 1918.

Lieutenant E. C. Gardiner to be Quartermaster, vice Lieutenant A. R. Manchester. Dated 19th September, 1918.

Lieutenant P. G. Doherty, M.C., performed the duties of Divisional Gas Officer, A. and N.Z. Mounted Division, from 5th September, 1918, to 29th September, 1918.

2nd Lieutenant J. M. R. Studholme performed the duties of Signalling Officer from 17th September, 1918, to 6th October, 1918.

WELLINGTON MOUNTED RIFLES.

Major E. J. Hulbert, D.S.O., returned from New Zealand, is removed from the N.Z. Roll and ceases to be seconded. Dated 19th September, 1918.

2nd Lieutenant N. L. Remnant ceases to be seconded for duty to New Zealand. Dated 19th September, 1918.

Captain F. von T. Kettle, from being seconded for duty as Divisional Gas Officer, A. and N.Z. Mounted Division, remains seconded for duty to England. Dated 30th September, 1918.

Major C. Dick to be Lieutenant-Colonel, and is appointed to command N.Z. Training Units and Depots in Egypt, vice Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Colonel) C. E. R. Mackesy, C.M.G., D.S.O., Auckland Mounted Rifles (seconded for duty with G.H.Q., E.E.F.), and is seconded whilst so employed. Dated 18th October, 1918.

Lieutenant P. C. Rose relinquishes the appointment of Quartermaster, N.Z. Training Units and Depots in Egypt, but remains seconded for duty to England. Dated 16th October, 1918.
