Inspector of Scenic Reserves appointed.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

WILLIAM COBELDICK

to be an Inspector under the said Act in respect to the scenic reserve described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 250 acres l rood 32 perches, more or less, being portion of the Rotohokahoka Block, situated in Block IV, Horohoro Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west generally by a scenic reserve described in New Zealand Gazette of the 2nd November, 1916, No. 124, page 3424, from the south-western corner of that reserve to the Ngongotaha Mountain Road; thence towards the south-east generally by that road to Kaitao-Rotohokahoka No. lo No. 2B Block; thence by that block to the south-western corner of Rotohokahoka D South No. 9B Block; thence by the south-western boundary of that block to and by the south-eastern boundary of No. 10A of the last-mentioned block to the northern side of Clayton Road; thence towards the south-west by the said side of Clayton Road a distance of about 3134·6 links; thence again towards the north-west by a right line to the place of commencement.

Appointing Additional Members to Summit Road Scenic Reserves Board, and amending the Conditions of Control in respect to the Summit Road Scenic Reserves.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the twenty-seventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-ninth day of that month, the control of certain lands in the Canterbury Land District, known as the Summit Road Scenic Reserves, was vested in certain persons therein named, who were by the said Warrant constituted a Special Board by the name of the Summit Road Scenic Reserves Board, in pursuance of section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908:

And whereas it is considered desirable that the membership of the said Board should be increased, and that the number of members to form a quorum at the meetings of the said Board should be altered from four to six members:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby appoint

John Stephen Barrett, Esq., Barrister and Solicitor;
Alexander Boyle, Esq., Stock Agent;
George Bowron, Esq., Merchant;
George Gould, Esq., Merchant;
Henry Smart Hobday, Esq., Estate Agent;
Leonard Monk Isitt, Esq., M.P.;
Robert Malcolm, Esq., Merchant;
Samuel George Raymond, Esq., K.C., Barrister and Solicitor;
Charles William Reid, Esq., Stock Agent;
Arthur Edgar Gravenor Rhodes, Esq., Barrister and Solicitor;
The Hon. Robert Heaton Rhodes, M.P. ;
Samuel Hurst Seager, Esq., Architect;
Frederick Maurice Warren, Esq., Accountant; and
The Hon. Henry Francis Wigram, M.L.C.,
(all of Christchurch)

to be additional members of the Summit Road Scenic Reserves Board constituted by the Warrant dated the twenty-seventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, hereinbefore referred to; and doth hereby also amend clause three of the conditions contained in the said Warrant by substituting the words “six members” for the words “four members.”

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this tenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.
