Arrangements for First Election, &c, Kaikohe Town District.
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 13th December, 1919.
HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint
JOHN GILLIAND, Esq.,
of Kaikohe, to be Returning Officer and person to prepare the roll of electors for the first election of five members of the Board of Commissioners of the Kaikohe Town District recently constituted under the Town Boards Act, 1908; also to appoint Thursday, the 18th day of December, 1919, as the date, and Maioha’s Office, Kaikohe, as the place, for holding such first election, and Monday, the 22nd day of December, 1919, at 8 o’clock in the evening, to be the time, and the Oddfellows’ Hall, Kaikohe, to be the place, for holding the first meeting of the Board so elected.

Notice respecting Proposed Town District of Cobden, County of Grey.

Wellington, 13th December, 1919.
IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Town Boards Act, 1908, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be constituted a town district under the said Act, by name the Town District of Cobden.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the constitution of the said district which they desire to make, within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF PROPOSED COBDEN TOWN DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Westland Land District bounded by a line commencing on the sea-coast at a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 2954 in Block II, Cobden Survey District, and proceeding in an easterly direction to and along that boundary to the western boundary of the Rapahoe Range Scenic Reserve; thence southerly along that boundary to a public road along the north-eastern boundary of Suburban Section 222; thence to and along the middle of that road to its intersection with Stafford Street, along the middle of Stafford Street to its intersection with Fox Street, and along the middle of Fox Street to the right bank of the Grey River; thence westerly along the southern side of Curtis Road, the southern side of Nelson Quay, and the south-western side of Hill Quay to the western side of Domett Esplanade: thence northerly along that side of Domett Esplanade to and along the sea-coast to the point of commencement.
