Additional Regulation as to the Taking of the Votes of Members of the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces for the Purposes of the Next General Election and Licensing Poll.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this fifteenth day of December, 1919.
Present:
THE HON. SIR WILLIAM FRASER, KT., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section eighteen of the Expeditionary Forces Voting and Electoral Rights Amendment Act, 1919 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, doth hereby make the regulation set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
VOTING BY SOLDIERS ON SHIPS.
If any vessel leaves Samoa with members of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force on board at any time before the day appointed for the taking of the licensing poll, the regulations made by Order in Council gazetted on the 27th November, 1919, regarding voting by soldiers on ships shall apply, except that all references to the High Commissioner shall be read as the Returning Officer appointed at Samoa for the purpose of recording the votes of members of the Expeditionary Force under the said Act, and that the date for the taking of the poll shall be Wednesday, the 17th December, 1919.

Amendments and Additions to Polling-places under Legislature Act, 1908.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the Legislature Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend the polling-places as shown against the electoral districts the names of which are specified in the following Schedule.

SCHEDULE.
Tauranga Electoral District—
Public School, Te Aroha West, to be altered to the Public Hall, Te Aroha West.
Otaki Electoral District—
Public School, Paremata, to be altered to the Public Hall, Paremata.
Mataura Electoral District—
Public Hall, Hedgehope, to be altered to Public School, Hedgehope.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this fifteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Office of Public Service Commissioner, Wellington, 15th December, 1919.
IT is hereby notified for general information that, pursuant to section 123 (1) of the Legislature Act, 1908, the offices of the Public Service throughout the Dominion will be closed at noon on Wednesday, the 17th December, 1919, the date fixed for the general elections.
