Declaring Land taken for a Public Work, and not required for such Public Work, to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is provided by section thirty of the Public Works Act, 1908, that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise however, for any public work is not required for such public work the Governor-General may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions therein mentioned:
And whereas it is further provided by section five of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, that in the case of any land so taken, purchased, or acquired for a Government work and not required for that purpose the Governor-General may, on the recommendation of the Minister, and without complying with any other requirements of the aforesaid section thirty, by Proclamation declare such land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908, and thereupon the land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto was taken for the purposes of roads: And whereas such roads have been stopped, and it is desirable to declare the land contained therein to be Crown land:
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor-General to declare such land to be Crown land:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the above-in-part recited Acts, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908, and that such land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of stopped road declared to be Crown land: 0·4 perch and 2 roods 21 perches. Adjoining or passing through Section 11, Waihua Rural Section, Block XI, Waihua Survey District (Hawke’s Bay R.D.).
In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 45515, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

Declaring that the Provisions of Section 109 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, shall apply to a certain Block of Native Land.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of November, 1919.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section twenty-three of the West Coast Settlement Reserves Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Order in Council at any time declare that the provisions of section one hundred and nine of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, shall apply to any block, section, or subdivision of land comprised in leases granted or confirmed under the West Coast Settlement Reserves Act, 1881, and the amendments thereof:
And whereas it is expedient that the provisions of section one hundred and nine aforesaid shall apply to the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto, for the purchase of which the Crown desires to negotiate:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section twenty-three of the West Coast Settlement Reserves Amendment Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the provisions of section one hundred and nine of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, shall apply to the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

NGATITARA No. 22, being part Section 22, Block V, Opunake Survey District; Ngatitara Block, Grant No. 2928, West Coast Settlement Reserves: Area, 174 acres.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Patutahi Town Domain.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of November, 1919.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the twenty-ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, appointing the Patutahi Domain Board, and doth hereby appoint
THE PATUTAHI TOWN BOARD
to be the Patutahi Town Domain Board, having the control of the domain described in the said Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the eighth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Patutahi Town Board Office, Patutahi, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
PATUTAHI TOWN DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing 2 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Sections 17 to 20 and 24 to 30 inclusive, Patutahi Township. Bounded towards the north-east by Hall Street, 700 links; towards the south-east by Onslow Street, 500 links; towards the south-west by Atkinson Street, 400 links; towards the north-west by Section 21, said Patutahi Township, 250 links; again towards the south-west by Sections 21, 22, and 23, said Township of Patutahi, 300 links; and again towards the north-west by Biggs Street, 250 links.
Also all that area containing 6 acres 2 roods 24 perches, more or less, being Sections 65 to 76 inclusive, Patutahi Township; Sections 102 to 113 inclusive, Patutahi Township; and closed road. Bounded towards the north-east by Seddon Street, 700 links; towards the south-east by Onslow Street, 950 links; towards the south-west by Hall Street, 700 links; and towards the north-west by Biggs Street, 950 links.
Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/286, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
