Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Council of the County of Whangarei, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and its amendments, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the special rating area known as the “Mangakahia Special Rating Area” was taken on the 23rd day of October, 1919, on the proposal to borrow the sum of £26,000 for the purpose of—
(a.) Constructing and metalling roads within the said Mangakahia Special Rating Area .. 21,563
(b.) Purchase of machinery (if needed) .. 3,000
(c.) Repayment of present Houto Loan .. 1,437
£26,000
and resulted as follows: Total number of votes recorded, 116; total number of votes in favour of proposal, 113; total number of votes against the proposal, 3; informal, nil. As there were more than three-fifths of the total number of votes recorded in favour of the proposal, I therefore declare the proposal carried.

OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the Kaiwaka Riding of the Otamatea County was taken on the 27th day of September, 1919, on the proposal of the Otamatea County Council to borrow the sum of £8,000 for the formation and metalling of roads in the Kaiwaka Riding of the said county. The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 106, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 8. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the Ruawai Riding of the Otamatea County was taken on the 27th day of September, 1919, on the proposal of the Otamatea County Council to borrow the sum of £5,000 for the formation and metalling of roads in the Ruawai Riding of the said county. The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 97, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 6. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Notice respecting Proposed Drainage District of Waipa, Counties of Waitomo and West Taupo.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Land Drainage Act, 1908, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be constituted a drainage district under Part I of the said Act, by name the Drainage District of Waipa. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the constitution of the said drainage district which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF PROPOSED DRAINAGE DISTRICT OF WAIPA.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in the Mangaorongo Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 31E 2B Block; thence along the north-western and northern boundaries of that block to the south-western side of the Mangaorongo Road; thence along that side of the said road to the north-eastern corner of Section 14, Rangitoto Improved Farm Settlement No. 2; thence by the eastern and southern boundaries of that section to the south-western corner; thence by a right line to the north-western corner of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 15 Block; thence by the north-western boundary of that block to the southernmost corner of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 33C 3A Block; thence by the south-western boundary of that block to a public road; thence across to the western side of that road at the point of intersection with south-eastern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 29C 2C 2 Block; thence along that boundary, the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 29C 2E to the northern side of the Otorohanga–Rangiatea Road; thence north-westerly along that side of the said road to Mangawhero No. 1F 2 Block; thence south-westerly along that boundary and its production to the right bank of the Waipa River; thence along the said bank to the western boundary of the Mangawhero No. 1F Block; thence along the western and northern boundaries of the said block to the point of commencement.

Sambur Deer turned at large in the Rotorua Acclimatization District declared to be vested in the Minister in Charge of Tourist and Health Resorts Department.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General directs it to be notified that the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts has turned at large six sambur deer (five hinds and one stag) in the Rotorua Acclimatization District, being a district administered by the said Department, and that the property in such sambur deer and their offspring, and in every animal of a like species at large in that acclimatization district, is deemed to be vested in the Minister for the time being in charge of the said Department of Tourist and Health Resorts, for a period of three years from the date hereof, as provided by section 56 of the Animals Protection Act, 1908.
