DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between HERBERT CHARLES STODDART and ALEXANDER McNEIL PROCTOR, carrying on business as Land and Estate Agents at No. 181 Featherston Street, Wellington, under the style or firm of “Stoddart and Proctor,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 15th day of January, 1919.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the third day of February, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, presented to Mr. Justice Herdman, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by Turnbull and Jones (Limited), of Christchurch, Electrical Engineers and Contractors, a creditor of the said company; and the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on the twenty-first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same, by the undersigned, on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the WALLACE MASSON COMPANY (LIMITED) held on Friday, the 15th day of November, 1918, at the registered office of the company, Belvedere Street, Carterton, the following special resolutions were passed:—

  1. That the Wallace Masson Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily.

  2. That Mr. H. M. B. TRAPP be appointed Liquidator for such voluntary winding-up.

Notice is also given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the Wallace Masson Company (Limited) held on Friday, 31st day of January, 1919, at the registered office of the company, the foregoing special resolutions were confirmed.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of six thousand pounds (£6,000), authorized to be raised by the Christchurch City Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the further distribution and supply of electricity from the Government generating station at Lake Coleridge, and the purchase and erection of all plant, material, and things necessary and incidental thereto, in respect of which a loan of £60,000 was authorized to be raised, and which said loan is found insufficient to complete the undertaking in respect of which it was raised, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ninety-five four-thousand-seven-hundred-and-fourths (95/4704ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch, except that part of the said city known as North Richmond, which was included in the said city by Order in Council published in the New Zealand Gazette dated the 26th day of March, 1914, page 1157.

And the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Christchurch City Council held on the 27th January, 1919.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 33s. per annum, including postage, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.

Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 3 o’clock of the day preceding publication.

AWARDS, RECOMMENDATIONS, AND DECISIONS UNDER THE INDUSTRIAL CONCILIATION AND ARBITRATION ACT.—The issue of this publication in monthly parts has been discontinued; but it has been arranged to supply copies in sheet form when each sheet is printed, at 10s. per annum. The price of bound volumes is 5s. in quarter cloth, and 7s. 6d. in cloth.
