for the purpose of general improvements within the North Mapara Special Rating Area, the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the North Mapara Special Rating Area, being as follows :--

Commencing at the junction of the road at the Aratoro Township Reserve, thence following the North Mapara Road along the southern boundaries of Sections 6 and 5, Block IV, Mapara Survey District, to the north-east corner of Section 5, Block III, Mapara Survey District; thence in a westerly direction along the eastern and southern boundary of the said Section 5, the southern and western boundary of Section 4, to the south-east corner of Native block Rangitoto-Tuhua 72B 2; thence along the southern boundary of the said section to the north-east corner of Native block Rangitoto-Tuhua 72B 1A; thence in a southerly direction along the eastern and southern boundary of the said section, then eastern boundary of Section 1, Block VIII, Totoro Survey District, to the eastern boundary of Native block Rangitoto-Tuhua 61N to its south-east corner; thence along its southern boundary to the south-west corner: thence in a northerly direction from this point to a point on the Mapara Stream at the north-west corner of a block of Crown land following the western boundaries so as to include the following sections—Rangitoto-Tuhua 61N; Section 1, Block VIII, Totoro Survey District; Section 10, Block V, Totoro Survey District; and a block of Crown land along the western boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua 72B 2 and 72 3B: thence along the northern boundary of the said Crown land in an easterly direction, the northern boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua 72B, 72B 3A, Sections 3, 7, and 6, Block III, Mapara Survey District, the northern boundaries of Sections 5 and 6 to the Kopaki Road; thence along the Kopaki Road following the southern boundary of the said section to the starting-point.

And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PINE EXPORT COMPANY (LIMITED).

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at the registered office of the company, Richmond Quay, Greymouth, on Saturday, the twenty-fifth day of October, 1919, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidators, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidators thereof shall be disposed of.

WHANGAMARINO ROAD BOARD.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Whangamarino Road Board hereby resolves as follows :--

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Whangamarino Road Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for reforming and metalling Whangamarino Station Road, and a portion of main South Road adjacent, and a portion of Black’s Road, in Section 152, Whangamarino Parish, the Whangamarino Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny (½d.) in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Whangamarino Special Rating Area of the Rangiriri Subdivision of the Whangamarino Road District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The Whangamarino Special Rating Area comprises Sections 152, 153, part of 154, part of 155, 381, part of 150, Block XI, Maramarua Survey District; Sections part of 150, 149, 179, 178, 431, 432, 433, 151, 434, 382, 218, 219, 383, part of 384, part of 386, Block X, Maramarua Survey District; Sections part of 386, 385, part of 384, 387, part of 221, Block XIV, Maramarua Survey District; Sections parts of 155 and 154, 361, Block XV, Maramarua Survey District.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held at the registered office of the company at Havelock on the 8th day of September, 1919, the following special resolution was passed; and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the said company duly convened and held at the registered office of the company at Havelock on the 24th day of September, 1919, the said resolution was duly confirmed, viz. :--

That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908; and that ELLIOTT HENRY JONES, of Havelock, the Secretary of the Company, be hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately subsisting between the undersigned, Motor Engineers, under the name of “J. Tranter and Sons,” at Christchurch has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the fifteenth day of September, 1919.

The business will in future be carried on by the undersigned H. and D. TRANTER, to whom all moneys owing to the Partnership shall be paid, and who will discharge all liabilities of the late Partnership.

COUNTY OF HOKIANGA.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hokianga County Council hereby resolves as follows :--

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Hokianga County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making a water-race for the supply of water to the Hokianga Hospital and to the inhabitants of the special rating area described in the Schedule hereunder, the said Council hereby makes and levies special rates as follows,--

(1.) A special rate of one-sixth of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the County of Hokianga, to meet interest and sinking fund (less contribution of £250 per annum by the Bay of Islands Hospital and Charitable Aid Board) on £8,000, being the estimated capital cost of providing the water-supply to the Hokianga Hospital.

(2.) A special rate of twopence three-farthings in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the special rating area described in the Schedule hereunder, to meet interest and sinking fund on the balance on the loan, £2,000.

And that such special rates shall be annually recurring rates during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the thirtieth day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SCHEDULE.

All that area situated in Block XIV, Mangamuka Survey District, in the County of Hokianga, bounded on the north and east by the Hokianga and Waima Rivers, on the south by De Thierry Street, and on the west by the Omanaia River.
