ERRATUM.—In the New Zealand Institute Regulations, published in Gazette No. 110, of the 4th September, 1919, page 2802, for the figure “7” appearing in the sixth line of Regulation 21 substitute the figures “26” in lieu thereof.

Lands withdrawn from State-forest Reservation.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the seventh day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, and published in Gazette of the ninth day of that month, certain lands in Wakamarina and Heringa Survey Districts, Marlborough Land District, were, inter alia, set apart as and for State forests in terms of the New Zealand State Forests Act, 1885 :

And whereas the bush upon the lands described in the Schedule hereto (being part of the lands so set apart) has been cut, and it is expedient that the said Proclamation should be rescinded in so far as it relates to the lands described in the said Schedule :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section twenty-eight of the State Forests Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby rescind the Proclamation dated the seventh day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, hereinbefore referred to, in so far as it relates to the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.

Description of Land to be withdrawn from State Forest.

All that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 83 acres, more or less, being Sections 7 and 11, Block II, Heringa Survey District, bounded as follows: Commencing at the north-west corner, towards the north by Section 1, Block II aforesaid, 3151·5 links; towards the north-east and east generally by a public road, 5506·9 links; towards the south by part Section 10, Block II aforesaid, 540·6 links; towards the west generally by Section 6, Block II aforesaid, 6666·1 links, to the point of commencement. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/1653D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

All that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 410 acres, more or less, being part of Sections 5 and 6, Block III, Wakamarina Survey District, bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the Opouri River 75 links from peg XVII. Bounded towards the east generally by the Opouri River to the boundary of Section 4, Block III aforesaid; thence towards the south-west by the said Section 4 to peg XXII, 8327·8 links; thence towards the north-west by the remaining portion of State forest, 9533 links, to the point of commencement. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/1653E, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Justice of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this sixth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.
