Scale of Bonus to Soldiers of the Expeditionary Forces.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this eighteenth day of September, 1919.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS by section seven of the Expeditionary Forces Amendment Act,
1918, it is provided that the Minister of Defence may, without further
appropriation than this Act, pay out of the War Expenses Account a bonus to all
officers, non-commissioned officers, and men who, whether before or after the passing
of this Act, have been honourably discharged from an Expeditionary Force after
service therein beyond the seas, and that such bonus shall be determined in accord-
ance with a scale to be prescribed by Order in Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on him by
section seven of the Expeditionary Forces Amendment Act, 1918, and acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby prescribe that the scale in accordance with which such bonus shall be
determined shall be one shilling and sixpence per day.
