thence north-easterly along the south-eastern side of said railway reserve to the north-eastern boundary of Original Section 20, Hokowhitu Registration District; thence south-easterly along the said section boundary, across the Palmers-ton-Ashhurst Road, and along the north-eastern boundary of Original Section 411, Hokowhitu Registration District, and along the production of that boundary across Te Wi Native Reserve to Te Matai Road; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of that road to a point opposite the north-ernmost corner of Original Section 346, Hokowhitu Registration District; thence across the road to said corner, and along the north-eastern and western boundaries of said Section 346 to the Manawatu River; thence down the right bank of that river to the south-western corner of Original Section 390, Hokowhitu Registration District; thence along the south-western boundary of said Section 390 to the point of commencement.

Special Order made by the Ellesmere Lands Drainage Board dividing District into Subdivisions.

THE following special order, made by the Ellesmere Lands Drainage Board, is published for general information.

ELLESMERE LANDS DRAINAGE BOARD.
Special Order.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Ellesmere Lands Drainage Board held at Tai Tapu on the 29th day of July, 1919, the following resolution was passed by way of special order, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting on the 5th day of September, 1919:—
Resolution.—In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 16 of the Land Drainage Act and its amendments, and the Counties Act, 1908, and all other powers (if any) thereunto enabling, the Ellesmere Lands Drainage Board hereby resolves, by way of special order, as follows,—
“That the Drainage District constituted under the Elles-mere Lands Drainage Act, 1905, and the Order in Council published in the Gazette under date of 18th June, 1917 (page 2474), is hereby subdivided into five subdivisions, to be named respectively the Halswell, Ladbrooks, Tai Tapu, Greenpark, and Lake Subdivisions, and the said subdivisions are respectively described in the Schedule hereto.”
SCHEDULE.
Halswell Subdivision.
Containing all of those portions of the No. 1 Riding of the Halswell County and the Prebbleton Riding of the Paparua County as are at present included in the Ellesmere Lands Drainage District, and bordered brown on plan marked I.A. 19/196/3, deposited in the office of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
Ladbrooks Subdivision.
Containing all of those portions of the Ladbrooks and Broadfield Ridings of the Paparua County as are at present included in the Ellesmere Lands Drainage District, and bordered yellow on plan marked I.A. 19/196/3, deposited in the office of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
Tai Tapu Subdivision.
Containing all of those portions of the Nos. 2 and 3 Ridings of the Halswell County as are at present included in the Ellesmere Lands Drainage District, and bordered purple on plan marked I.A. 19/196/3, deposited in the office of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
Greenpark Subdivision.
Commencing at the easternmost corner of Rural Section 4698, in a north-westerly direction by the centre of the Elles-mere Junction Road to its intersection with the western side of the Ellesmere Road by Dawson’s; thence by the west side of the latter road in a south-westerly direction to and across the Little River Branch Railway; thence in a south-easterly direction by the west side of a road running parallel with the said railway; thence in a direct line by the west side of the said road and an extension of the same to the shore of Lake Ellesmere; thence by the said shore in an easterly direction to the centre of the Halswell River; thence by the centre of the said river to and by the southern boundary of Lot 9 to the district boundary; thence by the district boundary generally in a northerly direction to the boundary between the Wairewa and Halswell Counties; thence by the latter boundary in a southerly direction to the centre of the Halswell River; thence by the centre of the said river generally in a north-westerly direction to the point of commencement at Rural Section 4698; and bordered yellow on plan marked I.A. 19/196/3, deposited in the office of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
Lake Subdivision.
Commencing at the southern corner of Rural Section 5608, and bounded on the north-west by the centre of Blake’s Road; thence by the centre of the Halswell River in a northerly direction and the north-western boundary of Rural Section 1432 to the Tai Tapu back road; thence by the centre of the said road in a south-easterly direction and the centre of a road forming the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 1447 to the Little River Road; thence southerly by the centre of the said road and by the centre of a road forming the south-western boundary of Rural Section 22419 to the southernmost corner of Rural Section 22474; thence by the district boundary in an easterly, southerly, westerly, northerly, and easterly direction generally encircling Lake Ellesmere to the commencing-point at Rural Section 5608; and bordered blue on plan marked I.A. 19/196/3, deposited in the office of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
It is hereby further notified that the above resolution was confirmed at a special meeting of the said Board held at Tai Tapu on Friday, the 5th day of September, 1919, when it was further resolved that the said special order should come into force on the 1st day of April, 1920.

Special Order made by the Masterton County Council increasing Number of Ridings, &c.

THE following special order, made by the Masterton County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1908.

MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order increasing the Number of Ridings in Masterton County, and subdividing the existing Wainuioru Riding.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties Act, 1908, the Masterton County Council, by way of special order, hereby resolves as follows:—

That the number of ridings within the county be increased from five to six.

That the present Wainuioru Riding be subdivided into the three areas described in the First, Second, and Third Schedules hereto.

That the boundaries of the Rangitumau Riding be altered so as to incorporate the area described in the Third Schedule hereto within that riding.

That the remainder of the existing Wainuioru Riding, after deducting the area described in the Third Schedule hereto, be subdivided into two ridings; one of such ridings to be called and known as the Wainuioru Riding, and the other to be called and known as Uruti Riding, and shall each be represented by one Councillor.

That the boundaries of the Wainuioru Riding shall be those set out in the First Schedule hereto.

That the boundaries of the Uruti Riding shall be those set out in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
Commencing at the southernmost corner of Section 2, being the south-east corner of Block IV, Wainuioru S.D., and running in a north-easterly direction along the south-east boundaries of Sections 2 and 1, Block IV, Wainuioru S.D., to East Taipo Trig.; thence in an easterly direction following the northern boundary of S.G.R. 48 through part Block IV, Wainuioru Survey District, and part Blocks 1 and IV, Kai-whata S.D., to the point of intersection with the north-west boundary of S.G.R. 50; thence by right lines running in a northerly direction along the west boundary of S.G.R. 50 to the Kaiwhata River; thence across the river; thence in a northerly direction along the left bank of the said Kaiwhata
