HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Staff Corps, the Regiment of Royal N.Z. Artillery, and Territorial Force, and the reposting of officers from the N.Z. Expeditionary Force to the Territorial Force.

Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Colonel) John Edward Hume, C.B.E., relinquishes the command of Wellington Military District, and retains the temporary rank of Colonel until further notice. Dated 23rd July, 1919.

Lieutenant-Colonel Richard William McVilly to be Colonel. Dated 19th June, 1919.

Colonel Richard William McVilly to be Director of Railways, vice Colonel E. H. Hiley, to Retired List. Dated 19th June, 1919.

3RD (AUCKLAND) REGIMENT (COUNTESS OF RANFURLY’S OWN).

Coast Defence Detachment.

Sergeant Hercules Lindsay Anderson to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation). Dated 27th August, 1919.

8TH (SOUTHLAND) REGIMENT.

Company Sergeant-Major Neil Middleton Pryde to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 28th August, 1919.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.

Major (temp. Lieutenant-Colonel) George Pearce Baldwin, L.R.C.P., Edin., relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Director of Medical Services, Canterbury Military District,

and the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, dated 11th August, 1919, and is demobilized. Dated 8th September, 1919.

With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 105, of 21st August, 1919, relating to Captain Cuthbert Raymond, M.B., for the words “from 4th March, 1919, to 15th August, 1919,” read “from 4th March, 1919, to 12th September, 1919.”

N.Z. ARMY NURSING SERVICE.

Sister Lucy Trumble, A.R.R.C., is granted the temporary rank of Matron whilst doing duty at Cashmere Military Sanatorium. Dated 15th August, 1919.

Sister Maud Atkinson, A.R.R.C. (temp. Reserve List), is appointed for duty at the Military Hospital, Rotorua. Dated 16th August, 1919.

Sister Louisa Campbell McLeod (temp. Reserve List) is appointed for duty at Chalmers Military Orthopaedic Hospital. Dated 24th August, 1919.
