(d.) No one, except he is an honourably discharged member of the Forces as defined in the War Pensions Act, 1915, and any amendment of that Act, shall be appointed to the Clerical Division unless his age at the time of appointment is not less than fifteen nor more than twenty-five years, and no one shall be appointed to the Professional Division unless his age is not less than seventeen years at the time of appointment.

Regulation No. 172 is hereby revoked.

Regulation No. 200 is hereby revoked, and the following substituted therefor:—

  1. The Matriculation Examination of the University of New Zealand shall be deemed to be the Senior Examination under these regulations.

Regulations Nos. 200A to 200H inclusive, 203, 206, 207, and 222 are hereby revoked.

Regulation 205, subsection (4), is hereby amended by inserting, after the words “Professional Division,” the words “nor to an officer of the Education Division whose salary is determined by analogy to that fixed for teachers under the Education Act.”

Regulation No. 213 is hereby revoked, and the following substituted therefor:—

  1. In addition to the salary payable to officers in Subdivisions 1, 2, and 3 of Class VII of the Clerical Division, there shall be paid, if the officer is stationed away from his home, a lodging-allowance at the following rates:—

If in the first subdivision .. .. £26 per annum.
,, second ,, .. .. £20 ,,
,, third ,, .. .. £15 ,,

Regulation No. 214 is hereby revoked, and the following substituted therefor:—

  1. In Subdivisions 1, 2, and 3 of Class F of the Professional Division the lodging-allowance shall be as follows:—

If in the first subdivision .. .. £20 per annum.
,, second ,, .. .. £15 ,,
,, third ,, .. .. £10 . ,,
