Authorizing Special Investment of £800 of the Public Trust Office Funds.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this first day of September, 1919.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section ninety-one of the Public Revenues Act, 1910, it is enacted that it shall be lawful to invest any part of the balance of the Public Trust Office Account in any securities which shall be declared by the Governor-General by Order in Council to be securities in which such balance may be invested:
And whereas the Hamilton Fire Board (hereinafter called “the said Board”), constituted under the provisions of the Fire Brigades Act, 1908, and its amendments, has applied to the Public Trustee to advance to the said Board the sum of eight hundred pounds upon the security hereinafter mentioned:
And whereas the Public Trustee is desirous of lending to the said Board out of the balance of the said Public Trust Office Funds the said sum of eight hundred pounds, repayment whereof is intended to be secured by a mortgage from the said Board to the Public Trustee of part Allotment 271 of the Town of Hamilton West, and by the issue of one debenture, repayment whereof is charged on the income of the said Board, together with a covenant by the said Board that the interest and sinking fund shall be included in the estimate of the said Board’s expenditure under section thirty of the Fire Brigades Act, 1908 (such proposed security being hereinafter referred to as “the said security”):
And whereas before the said sum of eight hundred pounds can be advanced out of the balance of the Public Trust Office Account it is necessary that an Order in Council should issue, pursuant to the statutory provisions hereinbefore recited, declaring the said security to be one upon which such sum may be invested:
And whereas it is proper that such Order in Council should issue:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General in and for the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby declare that it shall be lawful for the Public Trustee to invest out of the balance of the Public Trust Office Account the said sum of eight hundred pounds on the said security.

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this eighth day of September, 1919.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section twenty-six, subsection one, of the Appropriation Act, 1915, it is provided that, notwithstanding any Act to the contrary, it shall not be lawful or competent for any local authority or for any Harbour Board, during the present war with Germany, to borrow or contract to borrow any money (otherwise than by way of bank overdraft within the limit of its powers, if any, in that behalf), whether from the State Advances Office or from any other source whatever, and whether in pursuance of a special Act or under any other authority whatever, without the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council:
And whereas application has been made for the consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the loans set out in column B therein:
And whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, provided that the rate of interest at which the loans or any of them are to be raised shall in no case produce to the lender a return exceeding five and one-quarter pounds per centum per annum; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Appropriation Act, 1915, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the loans hereby authorized.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this eighth day of September, 1919.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of the Hoihere Road, in the Kairanga County, commencing at the bridge over the Oroua River, and running in a south-easterly and north-easterly direction through or adjoining Sections 3D No. 1c 1 and 2, and terminating at the northern boundary of the said Section 2, all in Block XVI, Te Kawa Survey District; being a distance of fifty-three chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 46598, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
