TAUMARUNUI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Taumarunui Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £843, authorized to be raised by the Taumarunui Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of drainage extension in the borough, the said Taumarunui Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of that portion of the Borough of Taumarunui comprising Blocks I to IX (inclusive) and Blocks XIII to XVII (inclusive) in the Native Township portion of the Borough of Taumarunui; Blocks I to V (inclusive) in Bell’s Extension; Sections 6 to 11 (inclusive) and Sections 14, 15, and 16, Block IV, and the whole of Blocks VI and VII, in the Rangaroa Village Settlement; and the whole of what is known as Ngatai’s Extension. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIROA COUNTY COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and in the matter of the Counties Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wairoa County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-entitled Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the formation and construction of a public road from Te Uhi to Rotonui; and for that purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is likewise given that a plan of the said lands is deposited at the office of the Council in Queen Street in the Borough of Wairoa, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected are called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections they may have to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the office of the Council aforesaid.

PAHI FRUIT LANDS (LIMITED).

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that at the annual general meeting of Pahi Fruit Lands (Limited) duly convened and held at the Accountants’ Chambers, Johnston Street, Wellington, on Wednesday, the 30th day of July, 1919, at 7.30 p.m., the subjoined resolution was duly passed as a special resolution; and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the said company duly convened and held at the registered office of the company, 12 Panama Street, Wellington, on Tuesday, the 26th day of August, 1919, at 5 p.m., the said subjoined resolution was duly confirmed as a special resolution:—

“That as, owing to defects in title, it has been proved impossible to complete the purchase of the lease of the land known as Komiti No. 1b referred to in clause 3 (a) of the Memorandum of Association of the company, it is desirable to wind up the company, and accordingly that this company be wound up voluntarily; and that HARRY JOHN STOTT, of Wellington, Company Manager, be hereby appointed the Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up, at a remuneration of five pounds (£5).”

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between CHARLES HENRY TUCKER and THOMAS ALFRED MAITLAND at Dunedin as Merchants and Importers, trading under the style of “Chas. H. Tucker and Co.,” is dissolved by mutual consent as from this date. All debts and claims owing by or to the late Partnership will be paid or received by the said THOMAS ALFRED MAITLAND, who will continue to carry on the business alone.
