Appointments, Promotions, Resignations, and Transfers of Officers of the Territorial Force.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the Territorial Force, and the reposting of officers from the N.Z. Expeditionary Force to the Regiment of Royal N.Z. Artillery and Territorial Force.

APPOINTMENTS AND PROMOTIONS.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) William Dobson, M.B.E., N.Z. Army Service Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Director of Supplies and Transport, Otago Military District, and the temporary rank of Captain, dated 30th June, 1919, and is demobilized. Dated 28th July, 1919.

5TH (WELLINGTON) REGIMENT.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) Guy Campion Felton to be Captain. Dated 29th July, 1919.

N.Z. RIFLE BRIGADE.

With reference to the notices published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 162, of 5th December, 1918, relating to Captain Herbert Stanley Hewlett being struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force and reposted to the regiment, for the words “Dated 12th November, 1918,” read “Dated 20th December, 1918.”

N.Z. ARMY SERVICE CORPS.

No. 1 Company, Auckland.

Sergeant Nahum Seth Cassrels to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation). Dated 14th August, 1919.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.

With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 116, of 29th August, 1918, relating to Captain Herbert Donald Robertson, M.B., being struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force and reposted to the Corps, for the words “Dated 6th August, 1918,” read “Dated 25th July, 1919.”

With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 88, of 17th July, 1919, relating to Major (temp.) H. J. C. Talbot, for the words “Dated 31st July, 1919,” read “Dated 9th September, 1919.”

N.Z. ARMY NURSING SERVICE.

The undermentioned are struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force and posted to the Temporary Reserve List:—

With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 76, of 3rd July, 1919, relating to Sister Emily Bishop being struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force and posted to the Temporary Reserve List, for the words “Dated 28th February, 1919,” read “Dated 7th March, 1919.”

Lieutenant Ronald Hart Buchanan, M.C., is transferred to the 11th (North Auckland) Mounted Rifles. Dated 9th August, 1919.

11TH (NORTH AUCKLAND) MOUNTED RIFLES.

Lieutenant Ronald Hart Buchanan, M.C., from the 6th (Manawatu) Mounted Rifles, to be Lieutenant. Dated 9th August, 1919.

8TH (SOUTHLAND) REGIMENT.

Lieutenant John William Andrews, from the Unattached List (b), to be Lieutenant. Dated 11th August, 1919.

11TH REGIMENT (TARANAKI RIFLES).

Major William James Shepherd is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 16th August, 1919.
