Amending Regulations as to the Sale and Purchase of Wheat.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this nineteenth day of August,
1919.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council made on the third day of April,
one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and published in the
Gazette of the seventh day of the same month, the Wheat Trade Regula-
tions, 1919, made under the War Regulations Act, 1914, were amended
with reference to the prices to be paid by the Government for good
milling-wheat:

And whereas it is desired to further amend the said regulations in
the manner hereinafter set forth:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Execu-
tive Council of that Dominion, and in pursuance of the powers conferred
on him by section thirty-five of the War Legislation Act, 1917, and of
all other powers enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby amend the said
Order in Council of the third day of April, one thousand nine hundred
and nineteen, in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

  1. CLAUSE 1 of the Schedule to the said Order in Council of the 3rd day
    of April, 1919, is hereby amended by revoking the words "(e.) In or
    after August, 1919, 6s. 8d. per bushel" (relating to the price to be paid
    for good milling-wheat), and substituting the following in lieu thereof :-
    "(e.) In August, 1919, 6s. 8d. per bushel.
    "(f.) In September, 1919, 6s. 8Β½d. per bushel.
    "(g.) In or after October, 1919, 6s. 9d. per bushel."

  2. All references to the Wheat Trade Regulations, 1919, appearing in
    the Order in Council of the 25th day of February, 1919, made under sec-
    tion 2 of the Regulation of Trade and Commerce Act, 1914 (fixing the
    maximum price of wheat of the season 1918-19), shall be construed as
    references to those regulations as amended by the said Order in Council
    of the 3rd day of April, 1919, and this Order in Council.
