TENDERS FOR INLAND MAIL-SERVICES

1920 AND 1921.

Tenders for Inland Mail-services for 1920 and 1921:

General Post Office,
Wellington, 12th August, 1919.

SEALED alternative tenders will be received at the several Chief Post-offices in the Dominion until noon on Monday, the 22nd September, 1919, for the conveyance of mails between the undermentioned places, for periods of ONE or two years, from the 1st January, 1920.

POSTAL DISTRICT OF AUCKLAND.

  1. Aotea, Te Mata, Kauroa, and Raglan Road (mail-coach), twice weekly. (Alternative to No. 2.)
  2. Aotea, Te Mata, Kauroa, and Raglan, twice weekly. (Alternative to No. 1.)
  3. Aria, Rira, and Kaeaea, weekly. (Alternative to No. 4.)
  4. Aria, Rira, and Kaeaea, twice weekly. (Alternative to No. 3.)
  5. Auckland, Bayswater, and Takapuna, daily to and from Bayswater; twice daily to Takapuna; thrice daily from Takapuna.
  6. Awhitu Central, Awhitu, and Awhitu Wharf, four times weekly.
  7. Cambridge, Karapiro, and Taotaorea (rural delivery of correspondence into settlers’ boxes at both places), daily.
  8. Cambridge, Maungatautari, and Horahora Creamery (including delivery of correspondence into settlers’ boxes at creamery), thrice weekly.
  9. Clevedon, Ness Valley, and Mournoukai, twice weekly.
    10.* Glenbrook and Waiuku–Pukekohe Road, daily.
  10. Hamilton and Rukuhia (rural delivery), daily.
    12.* Huarau Railway-station, Huarau, and Paparoa; Paparoa and Pahi, thrice weekly. Paparoa and Matakohe, weekly.

  12. Kaitieke and Retaruke Valley Road (rural delivery), twice weekly.

  22. Mercer, Churchill, Glen Murray Landing, and Glen Murray Post-office (calling only once at Churchill either on down or up trip to be arranged), twice weekly. (Alternative to No. 26.)
