Endowment Reserves for Education sanctioned by Parliament.

THE following resolutions passed by the Legislative Council and by the House of Representatives are published in accordance with section 324 of the Land Act, 1908.

EXTRACT FROM THE JOURNALS OF THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL, SATURDAY, THE 7TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1918.
RESOLVED, "That the report of the Lands Committee, brought up on Friday, the 6th day of December, upon the proposal contained in Paper 174, to reserve permanently Sections 30 and 31, Block XIII, Waipoua Survey District; Allotment 151, Maungatapere Parish ; and Allotment 223, Kawakawa Parish, as endowments for primary education, be agreed to."

ORDERED, "That this House approves of the lands specified in Paper No. 162 of this session being permanently reserved as endowments for primary education as therein set forth, in terms of section 324 of the Land Act, 1908."

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block II, Wharekawa, and Blocks II, III, and V, Orere Survey Districts, Franklin and Manukau Counties, for the Purposes of a Road.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work - to wit, the construction of a road in Block II, Wharekawa, and Blocks II, III, and V, Orere Survey Districts; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Kaiaua, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
