In the notice appearing in the New Zealand Gazette No. 55, of 18th April, 1918, under the heading “5th (Wellington) Regiment,” relating to Colonel J. J. Esson, C.M.G., for the words “31st May, 1916,” read “21st June, 1916.”

In the notice appearing in the New Zealand Gazette No. 176, of 6th December, 1917, relating to Captain Gavin Melville Abbott, 4th (Waikato) Mounted Rifles, for the words “Dated 3rd August, 1917,” read “Dated 1st April, 1917.”

N.Z. EXPEDITIONARY FORCE.

Captain Stanley Eric Vincent Brown, M.B., N.Z. Medical Corps, is posted for duty with H.M.N.Z. Hospital Ship “Maheno,” 5th Commission. Dated 11th December, 1918.

SAMOAN GARRISON.

Lieutenant Alexander Smith Morton, M.B., is granted the temporary rank of Captain whilst employed as Medical Officer at Samoa. Dated 10th January, 1919.
